Wednesday nights are about to get regular visits from "The Most Vicious Shooter In Professional Wrestling” as Kevin Kross has confirmed to Bleacher Report that he has signed a deal with Lucha Underground.
The 6’4” and 265-pound wrestler, who has made a name for himself in the independent scene as “The Tollman” and “The People’s Executioner,” has been undefeated for over two years in Future Stars Of Wrestling and has held the FSW Unified World Heavyweight Championship for over a year. Kross has already been in the ring with the likes of Matt Hardy, Brian Cage and Cedric Alexander and is now taking his unique talents to The Temple.
"I remember growing up watching WWF, WCW and ECW but feeling something internally magnetic within me where I was passionately captivated by ECW,” Kross said in an exclusive interview with Bleacher Report. “That was when I was a kid; as an adult, I feel like Lucha Underground is that ECW for me presently. I couldn't get enough, I can't get enough now and I am greatly looking forward to contributing to the company that is driving professional wrestling into that new captivating age that once occurred previously."
In his own words, Kross has been accused of being a throwback to the ultra-violent age of pro wrestling, drawing comparisons to Dr. Death, Toshiaki Kawada, Volk Han, Gary Albright and even Kurt Angle and Brock Lesnar.
“I've always wore that as a badge of honor, and if you ask me, I'm guilty as charged,” Kross said. “I'm going to fill the void that fans have been clamoring for—give them back the things they've missed, give them something entirely new and give them something very special between.”
Kross has been working for an extended period of time with the promotion, wrestling in dark matches and other capacities and is excited for fans to get a chance to see him perform Wednesdays on the El Rey Network.
“Lucha Underground is home now, and I'm greatly looking forward to the future,” Kross said.
