Paul Orndorff announced for 2017 Legends Of Wrestling Convention

Paul Orndorff announced for 2017 Legends Of Wrestling Convention

Posted: Aug 27th 2016 By: Danny Warren

Canadian Wrestling's Elite is very excited to announce its next guest and he's pretty wonderful... he's "Mr. Wonderful" Paul Orndorff!

As one of the first wrestlers to become a megastar around the World Paul Orndorff was front and center of Rock N'Roll Wrestling and the World Wrestling Federation's rise into the Worldwide spotlight as the WWF began its industry take over in 1984.

Paul Orndorff would cement his place in professional wrestling history as he teamed with "Rowdy" Roddy Piper to take on the super duo of Hulk Hogan and Mr. T in the first ever WrestleMania main event, an event that set the stage for professional wrestling's entire future that is still on going today over 30 years later.

During his infamous feud with Hulk Hogan that won the Wrestling Observer Feud Of The Year in 1986 he suffered an arm injury that would appear to end his career at the end of
80s. Orndorff would however return to the independents and then WCW until his retirement in 2000. During that time he would win the WCW Television Title and the WCW Tag Team Championships on three occasions.

In 2005 "Mr. Wonderful" Paul Orndorff would then go down in history once more when he was inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame. He would also be inducted into the Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame & Museum and the NWA Hall Of Fame in
2009.
