Fireball To Face Fells Watch's Victory Watch

Fireball To Face Fells Watch's Victory Watch

Posted: Oct 3rd 2015 By: CMBurnham

As a life guard, Ray "the Bae" Watch has saved his share of lives. But his life and careere were in need of saving two weeks ago when a fireball came as retribution for a sudden victory over Al Farat. Now Watch can only sit and hope to come back.

Watch and Farat are no strangers and have faced each other in the ring several times, but this meeting was different. Farat came to the ring with his manager, Babyface D'Amanti who made it clear that his client was not happy to be in Ada and certainly wasn't pleased to be competing against Ray. But thing a became very different when Ray entered the building to the strains of the "Baywatch" theme. It was a contrast of styles with Farat employing the brutal tactics and his manager while Watch employed the unique offensive style including the slow-motion corner splash and slow-motion running splash that have become regular staples of his matches.

This offence proved to be successful for Watch as he was able to catch Farat off guard with a Schoolboy and came out victorious. But that was when things turned dark as Farat reverted to his roots and threw a fireball in Watch's face. Immediately security as well as ring announcer Tuck Davison and commissioner Eddie Adamson hit the ring to tend to Watch. After Farat was escorted to the back, Adamson took the microphone and said that what had happened was not an endorsed part of the show and that Farat had caused plenty of trouble since Adamson had arrived in IWR. He promised the fans that Farat's day was coming.

Watch did not suffer blindness for too long as he was able to compete in a Battle Royal to determine the #1 contender for the MSWA Oklahoma Title. But he did not last long and it was obvious that his vision was still causing him problems. At this point, Watch remains on injured reserve status for IWR, but that just gives him more time to plot revenge. And revenge is a dish best served when lots of time has passed.
