Cherry Sits Atop New Faction In MSWA
Posted: Aug 27th 2015 By: CMBurnham
Several months ago, it seemed that Buster Cherry had decided to stand on his own and be a man.
Now, Buster has followers and is proud to be a Creep.
Buster had shed the trappings of the Saints of Pro Wrestling and appeared to be comfortable wain war on his former stablemates. He even logged a victory in a Handicap match against the Sanders twins.
But Buster never lost sight of his desire to capture the MSWA Oklahoma Title. And when Spike had to forfeit the title due to injury, Cherry was certainly a front-runner to win the Battle Royal that was held to fill that title.
Except Buster was not present. And that was rather odd.
Mascara La Parka eventually walked away from the Battle Royal as the winner, but on July 17th, Buster returned to the MSWA Arena to challenge him for the title. Mascara was confident that he would be successful in his initial title defence, but Buster shocked the crowd by resorting to a pair of brass knucks to knock Mascara out and capture the title.
It seemed obvious that Buster was only concerned about Buster. Or at least that was the way it seemed. But on August 14th, Buster returned to MSWA, but he did not return alone. Cherry was accompanied to the ring by Mr. Barnes as he prepared for his first MSWA Oklahoma Title defence against Vinnie Pacheco. Pacheco, the firey rookie who had come up short two weeks prior in his efforts to become the MSWA Mid-South Cruiserweight Champion, brought everything he could, but once again, the brass knucks came into play. Cherry used them to knock Pacheco out and the referee called for the DQ. Cherry would lose the match, but retain the title.
However that was not the end of the story as Cherry and Barnes bean a 2-on-1 beatdown on Pacheco. Finally, Dean Lambert came to the rescue of Pacheco. It appeared the sides were even, but then Lambert turned on Pacheco and now there were 3-on-1 odds. That was too much for the upstart rookie to overcome and eventually, Buster and his associates stood tall over a fallen Pacheco.
While Cherry has refused any attempts at an interview, rumour as it that the name for his new group is The Creepsters. With the size of Barnes, the unpredictability of Lambert and the leadership of Cherry, they appear to be a faction that could present a serious threat to many of the wrestlers in MSWA.
