The National Wrestling Alliance is proud to induct the 2014 Class into its Hall of Fame. Since its establishment in 2005, the purpose of the Hall has always been to recognize those who have left a lasting legacy on professional wrestling and the NWA in particular. The six individuals comprising the 2014 class are no exception:
-Kevin Sullivan ? Founder of the Varsity Club, multiple regional NWA championships
-J.J. Dillon ? Manager of the Four Horsemen
-Cowboy Bob Kelly ? Gulf Coast wrestling legend, posthumous inductee
-Shohei ?Giant? Baba ? Founder of All Japan Pro Wrestling, Three-time NWA World Heavyweight Champion, posthumous inductee
-Ox Baker ? Master of the heart punch, internationally accomplished champion, posthumous inductee
-Paul ?Pinkie? George ? Founder and first President of the NWA, posthumous inductee
?We are pleased to honor the nominees to the 2014 NWA HOF, all of which contributed to the development and future of professional wrestling in their own unique way,? said NWA President Bruce Tharpe. ?Inducting them into the NWA HOF is our way of saying ?thank you? for all you have done for wrestling and the fans and in paving the way for the rest of us to follow.?
