Anthony Wayne vs. "The Blue Eyed Idol" Tyler Colton
Posted: Apr 21st 2014 By: Canadian Wrestling's Elite
The seventh and eighth men competing to qualify in the Elite 8 tournament have now been released and on Wednesday, May 7th when CWE returns to Souris for the very first time in nearly two years Anthony Wayne in his Canadian Wrestling's Elite debut will challenge former CWE Tag Team Champion Tyler Colton for one of the coveted eight spots in the Elite 8 tournament.
There are some very interesting contrasts in this match, the first being the size difference At 6'2", 235lbs Tyler Colton is much larger then Wayne who tips the scales at 145lbs but what Wayne lacks in size he makes up for in experience at with 14 years under his belt to Colton's four it is safe to safe Anthony Wayne will be well equipped and know how to handle an opponent much larger then himself.
Although small in stature Anthony Wayne has a big resume with over 18 championships to his name across the US independents. The veteran of the sport will be competing in Canada for the first time on this tour and have his work cut out for him if he wants to become one of the Elite 8 as Tyler Colton is highly regarded as the future of Canadian wrestling.
Since losing the CWE Tag Team Champions Tyler Colton and former partner MENTALLO quietly went their separate ways and ever since he has been kicking ass and taking names. Winning this tournament could really solidify that Tyler Colton has arrived in the upper tier of Canadian Wrestling's Elite.
Both men's journeys to the top of the Elite 8 begin on Wednesday, May 7th in Souris, MB!
