SRPW appoints 4th commissioner this year

SRPW appoints 4th commissioner this year

Posted: Aug 21st 2005 By: oklastaff

Former TPW ring announcer Ray Martinez was appointed the new SRPW Commissioner Friday, Aug 19th. Ray becomes the 4th commissioner that SRPW has had this year, but promises to help bring an end to the chaos that has begun since the arrival of Sonny C.

Ray has already made his presence felt, ordering an SRPW Tag Team Title rematch for Sep 2 between current champions the Phantasy XXXpress and former champions the 918 Boyz. He also ejected Sonny C twice during matches that involved his "New Dynasty" teammates Jack Legacy and Mitch Carter. Ray seems very greatful to have been picked for this position and is prepared for anything that comes his way.

SRPW has had its trouble with commisioners this year. They started the year with current SRPW X Division Champion Kenny Campbell in the poisition. Kenny was out with a neck injury at the hands of Adam Thornstowe. After he was cleared to wrestle again, he was replaced by former head of SRPW security Eric Roberts. Roberts? tenure was sparked with some controversy surrounding the debut of Jose Suzuki and the resignation of ring announcer Mike Iles, who went on to become commmissioner for NWA-Universal. But Roberts? job forced him to relocate and give up his commissionership. He was followed by former OPW, OCW & SRPW ring annoncer Rick Vyper. Vyper?s style and quality of leadership soon brought him to the attention of the SRPW board of directors and they promoted him to that position, leaving the commisionership open again for Ray Martinez to fill.

Oklafan welcomes Ray as the SRPW commissioner and wishes him good luck in his duties.
