Reality star Matt Riviera to honor Bruno Lauer at Cauliflower Alley Club
(Tampa, FL) - Reality Television star and pro wrestler Matt Riviera will honor a legend at this year's Cauliflower Alley Club (CAC) Reunion.
The CAC is celebrating over 45 years of existence as a non-profit dedicated to the world of professional wrestling with a three-day annual event in Las Vegas next week (April 18-20).
Riviera will present the 2011 Managers Award to Bruno Lauer, celebrating Lauer's 30+ years in professional wrestling mostly known as Downtown Bruno spanning everywhere from Memphis to Continental Wrestling.
Then, Riviera will be nominated for the CAC's "Future Legends" Award.
On Monday, April 18th at 6:00 PM in Las Vegas, Nevada, Riviera will face off in the main event against Franco D'Angelo for the FSW Title. This match will be one of the biggest matches of Riviera's career.
The event takes place at FSW Arena located at 6658 Boulder Hwy, Las Vegas, NV. On the roster for the night are famed WWE Legends Jake "The Snake" Roberts, Harley Race, Nick Bockwinkel, Raven, and the Honky Tonk Man.
Tickets start at $10.00 and can be purchased at www.fswcac.eventbrite.com . Find out more by visiting http://www.futurestarsofwrestling.com/
Since bursting onto the scene in 2004, Riviera has bolted to the top of his game with lightning speed, capturing multiple heavyweight and tag team titles. This is in addition to his budding career in Reality TV, punctuated by his appearance in VH1's "Megan Wants a Millionaire."
Riviera is thrilled to both present the award to Lauer and to be nominated by the CAC.
"It doesn't get much better than this," he said recently about his upcoming duties at the CAC extravaganza. "Presenting to a legend like Bruno, then being nominated myself? I'm beyond ecstatic."
In July 1991, Bruno went to work for the World Wrestling Federation (WWF). During his time with the WWF, he managed more than 60 wrestlers, including some of the biggest names of the time. Bruno now works behind the scenes at WWE.
The CAC started in the mid-1960s at the Baron's Castle Buffet Restaurant in Los Angeles, with weekly get-togethers comprised of Mike Mazurki and Al Baffert's wrestling and movie friends, plus promoter George Parnassus' boxing friends.
