Is Sting Still In The Cards For WrestleMania?
Posted: Feb 16th 2011 By: CMBurnham
So much for the hype around a possible Sting appearance in the WWE involving the 2-21-11 videos.
Last night we found out that those videos were for the Undertaker, something that we had guessed last week but had confirmed for us last night when the Deadman himself was shown in the video. However, that doesn't mean that you should write off the chances of Sting being at the event this year.
According to wrestlenewz.com, the WWE is still trying to land Sting for the major event and the two sides have had talks about a deal. He hasn't signed anything but he isn't ruling out the possibility of landing in the WWE.
This would be another huge get for Vince McMahon after getting the Rock to be the special guest host for WrestleMania. Sting has never appeared in WWE programming and you know that it would be one of the most hyped things in recent memory.
With the Undertaker already returning, it would be interesting to see what the company would do with Sting, so I'll take it to you guys. If you were Vince McMahon and the rest of the creative team, what would your angle be for Sting at WrestleMania? Do you think he'll eventually sign on the dotted line?
At some point, all of the greats have come through the WWE, one way or another. It would be smart business for Sting to come to the company he has avoided for so many years.
