Harley Race Wrestling Academy Press Release

Harley Race Wrestling Academy Press Release

Posted: Sep 3rd 2010 By: mikeiles

Have you had a dream of becoming a professional wrestler? Now is the chance to do that. Harley Race has owned and operated the Harley Race Wrestling Academy for 10 years. Along with the tutelage of the 8-Time World Heavyweight Champion, the academy has guest trainers come and give their advice and hands-on training to the students here at the school. Trainees here have an opportunity to not only train, but also wrestle on live shows put on by World League Wrestling (the promotion ran by Harley himself). Alongside of the many opportunities to wrestle on live shows, select graduates could be sent to local WWE shows as needed.

Past graduates have included, WWE/NXT/FCW stars such as Trevor Murdock (3-Time WWE Tag Team Champion), Ted Dibiase (Current RAW superstar and former WWE tag team Champion), Michael McGillicutty (Former FCW Heavyweight Champion and Tag Team Champion), Current RAW referee John Cone, FCW Wrestler Ritchie Steamboat, and FCW referee Ryan Tran.

Along with the working relationship between the Harley Race Wrestling Academy and World Wrestling Entertainment ?, the Academy also has ties to Pro Wrestling NOAH (One of Japan?s premier wrestling promotions). Past graduates have gotten the chance to wrestle for this promotion and/or trained at NOAH?s world renowned dojo. Participants have included Keith Walker (Current NOAH Tag Team Champion), Ace Steele, Superstar Steve Fender (Cauliflower Alley Future Legends Award Winner), Dakota, Daniel Cross, Steve Anthony, Wild Wade Chism, Matt Murphy, and Jason Jones (Oklafan Editor's Note: This is not "Space Cowboy" Jason Jones, but is in fact H. J. Jones who wrestled for MWA in 2009).

Harley?s legendary stature in professional wrestling has allowed him to create and maintain his annual wrestling camp. At this camp, many participants have the chance to be critiqued and receive instruction from guests such as Ricky Steamboat, Ted DiBiase Sr., Tom Pritchard (Current FCW Trainer), John Laurinaitis (Head of WWE talent relations), Japanese wrestling legends Kenta Kobashi and Mitsuharu Misawa, and Pro Wrestling NOAH representative Ryu Nakata, to only mention a few. Past participants of the camp have been able to advance their national and international professional careers.

The Harley Race Wrestling Academy is located in Eldon, Missouri. Eldon is located minutes from Lake Ozark, a major tourist attraction and gainfully employs many students that choose to look for jobs while training. The Academy also has ties to local apartments making rent affordable for trainees.
