Locked...And Loaded

Back in January Rick Russo and Ryan Reyes Became the SWCW TagTeam Champions when they defeated the most unlikely of tag teams: Rated N (Shane Sanchez and Crisstopher Crow).
For the past few months half of the Tag Champs was absent. Due to car trouble and travel issues, Ryan Reyes was unable to compete. This left Russo in a bad spot.
For the past three shows Russo was offered the chance to find a replacement tag partner. Instead, Russo defended his championship all alone. With high hopes of his partners return he was succesful in every defense.
It seems as though the "The Gunshow" lost hope in his partner's return, so on May 15th he announced that he "fired" his partner and was now the sole Tag Team Champion.
At the May 15th show Russo faced off against not only X-Rated but was also expected to stand toe to toe against the Hardcore Connection in a 5 man Tag Team Scramble match. In the conclusion it seemed as though Russo was going to walk out still SWCW Tag Team Champion. With Kareem Sadat and Shane Sanchez on the apron Russo was whipped into their corner. Bobby Star and Kevin James Sanchez charged Russo. As he ducked, X-rated plowed the Oklahoma Hardcore Legend and the current SWCW Hardcore Champion to the floor. "The Gunshow" then attempted a double clothesline driving Bobby Star to the mat, Kevin managed to duck out of the way and before you knew it "The Ring Rat Kid" landed his finisher, The Drive By Superkick. Kevin dragged the legal man Bobby Star on top of Russo for the 1....2...3. The one man tag team was dethroned and a new era has began with the new X-Rated.
It seemed as though Russo would definitely not be headed home a happy man. Later in the night it was time for the crowning of a new #1 contender to the heavy weight title. The main event was a Stampede style Battle Royal. The 9th entry was none other than the Gunshow. After a vigorous Battle Royal the final two entrants were The SWCW All-American Champion David Kyzer and Russo. Kyzer was tossed over the top and held on for a moment but his strength gave away and "The Locked & Loaded" Rick Russo became your new #1 Contender to the SWCW heavyweight Champion.
The next SWCW event is May 23rd. Join us in the Underground Arena and see what happens between "The Gunshow" and "The Monster" 3rd Rail.
