US wrestlers cancel Trowbridge event after visas debacle

A group of American wrestlers due to visit Trowbridge have been sent back to the US after problems with their visas.
The Bushwackers, former WWE wrestlers, were due to hold a training seminar at the Longfield Community Centre on Saturday night, but when they tried to enter the country last week they were turned back by immigration officials for not having visas to enter the UK.
Sue Humphries, whose son Gareth was organising the event, said: ?There were 20 wrestlers coming over from the USA but they wouldn?t let them through the airport because the promotions company hadn?t sorted out their visas.
?I don?t think we?ve lost too much money, just what we paid for posters and flyers and we will have to refund a couple of people who paid in advance for tickets.?
The Bushwhackers were also due to appear at a show in Radstock on Friday night.
Mrs Humphries said the show would still go ahead without them.
