Kamala makes his return to the Philadelphia-New Jersey area this Sunday

Posted: Jan 30th 2010 By: CMBurnham

This Sunday, January 31st, Kamala makes his return to the Philadelphia-New Jersey area as as he battles "Wiseguy" Jimmy Cicero in the main event of the Tri-State Wrestling Alliance (TWA) & "Wiseguy" Jimmy Cicero BODYSLAM AUTISM SHOW at the Flyers Skate in Voorhees, NJ with a 4 PM Belltime.

At 6'7" and 400 lbs, "The Ugandan Giant" is one of the most legendary big men in pro wrestling history. Kamala has appeared in virtually every major promotion including Memphis, Mid-South, NWA, World Class, WCW and WWF/E and has faced all of the big names in the business including Hulk Hogan, Andre the Giant, Jake "The Snake" Roberts, Bruiser Brody, The Undertaker, Sgt. Slaughter and "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan. And long before Hulk Hogan bodyslammed Andre the Giant at Wrestlemania III at the Pontiac Silverdome, Kamala performed that feat while Andre was still in his prime:

Kamala, never known for technical skills inside the ring, simply likes to destroy and brutalize opponents. Kamala does not even care about wins or losses as long as he can hurt someone. "Somebody is in for along night this Sunday in Voorhees, New Jersey, " said "The Midnight Idol" Nicky Benz. "Let's face it, Jimmy Cicero, I could easily defeat
you in a wrestling match. At the TWA on Dec 5th, you had a handful of my tights when you pinned me. But rather than humiliate you myself, I would much rather sit back and watch you be obliterated by someone who has no remorse, no morals and no human compassion....KAMALA!!! And trust me, when Kamala drops that 400 lb BIG SPLASH on your limp body, not only will you be back in retirement, but you'll be lucky to escape
without permanent, debilitating injury!!!"

But "Wiseguy" Jimmy Cicero has different plans for this Sunday. "Sure Kamala is a legend, a giant of a man and a savage, but I'm coming to New Jersey to spread my message of BODYSLAM AUTISM and nobody, not even the Ugandan Giant, is going to stop me!"

ABOUT BODYSLAM AUTISM...

AUTISM is a developmental disorder that affects an estimated 1.5 million individuals in the United States and tens of millions worldwide. Today, it is estimated that 1 in every 110 children is diagnosed with autism, making it more common than childhood cancer, juvenile diabetes and pediatric AIDS combined
(http://www.autismspeaks.org/whatisit/index.php).

When professional wrestler "Wiseguy" Jimmy Cicero and his wife, Windra, learned that their young son was autistic in early 2009, Cicero took positive action and returned to the squared circle after a 3 year hiatus with the sole purpose of using his pro wrestling appearances, contacts and network to promote Autism Awareness. In late 2009, Cicero's
family's situation was compounded when they learned that a second, younger son of theirs was also autistic.

Since that time, Cicero has been promoting autism awareness and raising money for education and research for AUTISM SPEAKS (http://www.autismspeaks.org/). Cicero dubbed his mission as HELP "Wiseguy" JIMMY CICERO BODYSLAM AUTISM. He now sells T-shirts that bears this name at all of his appearances and online at
www.jimmycicerowrestling.com and gives all the proceeds to AUTISM SPEAKS.
