New SRPW Commisioner

New SRPW Commisioner

Posted: Nov 27th 2004 By: oklastaff

It has been a common theme over the last 6 months that the inmates have been running the asylum in Steel Rage Pro Wrestling. The Board of Directors hope to change that with the recent appointment of a new commissioner.

SRPW superstar Kenny Campbell was injured at the November 5th SRPW show at the hands of Adam Thornstowe of West Coast, Inc. Campbell is out of action for an undetermined amount of time. After the attack on Campbell, SRPW officials set out to find a commissioner that was unafraid to ruffle a few feathers and is ready to make a change. They chose Kenny Campbell. He took to the job like a duck takes to water. He forced SRPW Light Heavyweight Champion Cade Sydal of the Fraternity of Sin to defend the title when Sydal was under the impression he would have the night off. Sydal also tried to handpick his opponent by requesting FoS teammate Chris Gazaway (who would have probably just laid down for him), Ned Tendo, or Ichiban. Campbell said that Tendo was unavailable and Gazaway and Ichiban were already busy on the night. Campbell then brought out his handpicked challenger, Dexter "Hard Times" Hardaway! Dexter had been off the SRPW active roster for the past two months following an injury and a stint in NWA-Oklahoma, which has since ceased operations. Dexter made good on his title shot pinning Sydal to claim the title.

Campbell will continue as the commissioner as he recuperates from his injury. What surprises lie ahead for SRPW under the watch of The Velvet Love God as commish?
