Garrett Kicks Sadat To The Streets...Literally
Posted: Nov 28th 2009 By: CMBurnham
An unlikely feud has brewed over the past few weeks between Kareem Sadat and Rick Garrett. While these two have had their differences in the past, it seemed that a lot of that had been put aside and while they weren't regular partners, they kept to their own paths. But some lip service from Sadat's associate, SWCW Hardcore Champion Maniac Mike, was all it took to bring "The Party Man" and "The Oklahoma Hardcore Legend" face to face and the result was something that had never been seen in the state before.
October 24 saw Sadat and Garrett meet in an Electrified Cattle Prod Match, which Garrett won. But two weeks later, Sadat saw an opportunity to gain some revenge as Maniac Mike was set to face Garrett in a non-title match. Shortly after the match began, Sadat came down to the ring and hit Garrett with a chair. He & Mike then attempted to put a diaper and bib on Garrett in the middle of the ring. They never got it completely affixed and Garrett was able to recover, grabbing Mike and leading him outsid the ring, then shoving his head into a cake that was at ringside to be presented to a fan who had a birthday that day. Before the chaos was over, Sadat would also be covered in cake frosting. Embarassed and humiliated, Sadat challenged Garrett to a Hardcore Tag Team match, insinuating that Garrett would have to pick his specially appointed referee, Crazy Charlie, as his partner. Garrett didn't want Charlie to be involved in this situation in any other aspect but as a referee. However, he did agree to a Hardcore match, one-on-one, at the next show.
Everyone expected that this would be just another hardcore match in Sadat's history. And since he is the Oklahoma Hardcore Legend, the odds seemed to be in the sadistic Arab's favoujr. But Garrett had one last trick up his sleeve before the match started. After leading his entourage to the ring, Garrett took the microphone and said that, since this match was sanctioned to go anywhere, why not just take it outside to start? Sadat agreed and acting commissioner Shawn McKaiegg helped lead the crowd to the front of the building. Once outside, Garrett and Sadat began to beat each other to smithereens. Manic Mike was neutralised quickly when he was thrown in a nearby trash can. Sadat and Garrett then concentrated on a nearby car, throwing each other into it, smashing the windows and windshield and denting the roof, all in an effort to cause the maximum amount of damage.
Probably the biggest impact was felt as they bodyslammed each other on the asphalt. Passing cars slowed in amazement at what they saw and the crowd was caught in a bit of a conundrum when they were told to back up by the security guards, but had to be mindful of the traffic passing behind them.
Despite the youth of his opponent, the assistance of Maniac Mike and repeated impacts on a car and concrete, Garrett was able to gain a win. While it seems unlikely that Sadat's twisted mind could come up with anything to top this, the safe bet has never been to underestimate the depths he will sink to to regain his status as the most violent man in SWCW and the entire state.
