Ted DiBiase Responds To Billy Graham's Rant

Posted: Oct 31st 2009 By: CMBurnham

Superstar Billy Graham went on a rant again, shooting on Ted DiBiase, Sr @ last weeks convention.

Here is the link to that shoot:

That wasn't the first time Billy had harsh words about Ted and many others.

So since I am linking to the above, here is the letter we received from Ted DiBiase:

Response to Billy Graham's rant

I really don't think I need to explain myself any more than I already have. I did, at one point, say I would never go back to the WWE,and was openly critical of the programming at the time. This isn't news, everybody already knows this. But when approached about going back, I sought the advice of a number of pastors. One of those pastors was Tommy Barnett. He is the pastor of Phoenix First Assembly of God, the church Billy Graham "supposedly" attends.

What they told me was basically this, " Jesus said we must be salt and light to the world. We can't change anything or help anybody sitting on the sidelines praying for them. We must be amongst them." So, that's what I did. I went back and did the best I could to show the people who had known me a long time, the difference in my life. I also gave my son permission to go into the business with this condition, don't ever agree to do anything that compromises your Christian principals, even at the cost of your job. He agreed.

As I said before, much has changed in the WWE, and for the better. There is a state of the art drug testing policy now, a work schedule that is less demanding, and compensation that is much better. And, as I stated before, the programming today is totally PG rated. The WWE, like any other business has grown and matured through the process. Well, that's what I've done too. I said I'd never go back to the WWE. Today I understand that going back is exactly what Jesus would have me do and that's why I did it. Too many people say they've become Christians and then spend the rest of their life judging everybody else. That's not a Christian, that's a hypocrite.

So Billy, I'm sorry you feel the way you do and I don't want you to rot in hell. What genuine Christian would want that? If you had a problem with me, the Christian thing to do would be to come to me and confront me personally. But you chose a public forum. There are a number of hateful things I could say here that wouldn't color you in a very good light at all. But, I'm not going to do that. It's not my place to judge you, so I won't. But I will leave you with the words of Jesus, Matthew 7:4-5 How can you say to your brother, 'Let me take the speck out of your eye,' when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye.

Ted DiBiase, Sr.
