Violence Reunited!

Violence Reunited!

Posted: Sep 4th 2009 By: CMBurnham

It started with just 3 men. Two years ago, Rage Logan, Damien Morte & Crisstopher Crow aligned themselves as Nemesis and formed the most hated faction in SWCW at that time. They captured the Tag Team Titles, Morte focused on the Hardcore Title and Rage proved himself a master in the Cruiserweight division. They invaded other federations, including MSWA and ComPro. But then, dissention. Seperation. All three went their own way and after only one year, it seemed like they were a thing of the past.

Recently, Nemesis reformed, with Morte, Rage and new member Damon Windsor. Windsor was forced to leave SWCW after losing the 8-man Elimination match at "Scars and Stripes 2" one month ago. But the same night that he left, Xavior was the newest person to join the group. And so, as before, Nemesis stood at 3 men against everyone else.

Always willing to stick their nose in people's business, Logan & Xavior interfered in the Title match on August 16 between David Kyzer and SWCW Cruiserweight & ComPro Oklahoma X Division Champion Sage, attacking both men. They set Sage up for a double powerbomb, but then SWCW Luchadore Champion Se7en came to the rescue with a steel chair. Nemesis fled the ring, but Logan grabbed the mic and told Se7en that he was barking up the wrong tree.

Later in the show, Se7en defended his title against Shawn Sanders. After rolling Shawn up for the win, Se7en was the victim of an attack by Nemesis, but the favour of the save was returned by Kyzer & Sage. Logan said Nemesis had their own agenda and was tired of the interference of Se7en's friends. At the next show, Damien Morte would be back and he proposed a 6-man tag with Nemesis against Se7en, Kyzer & Sage. Se7en agreed for his team and called Nemesis chicken, much to the delight of the crowd.

Logan & Xavior stuck around long enough to face Dawn of Extreme in a match, but their clear focus was on preparing for August 30. But before they could get to their match, Nemesis came out after Chaz Sharpe had won a Triple Threat match against Scott Sanders and SWCW Tag Team Champion Bud Barnes. Scott and his New Age Syndicate brother had just double-teamed Barnes and laid claim to his tag team title belt when Nemesis appeared and an uneasy moment occurred with all 5 men surrounding a fallen Barnes. But after the NAS departed, Nemesis took the ring. It was difficult to hear everything that Rage Logan said, due to the volume of the crowd voicing their displeasure, but the clear idea was that violence was going to rise again.

When the 6-man match commenced, it was pretty evident that each member of Nemesis had picked one member of the opposing team as a target. Xavior handled Se7en, Logan took Sage and Morte faced off with Kyzer. As long as Nemesis was in control of the match (or at least on an even foot), that was their preferred choice of pairing. Shortly into the match, referee Rob Justice was caught in the corner and knocked out. All 6 men burst into the ring and referee Jeff Kiger came down to revive Justice. With Justice back in the action, Kiger remained at ringside and the match progressed as normal until once again, Rob Justice was squished in the corner. Kiger entered as all the men again poured into the ring. With Logan and Kyzer on the outside, Xavior pinned Se7en and Sage pinned Morte simultaneously. Kiger moved into position to count one pin, unaware the Rob Justice had awoken to count the other pin. Both men hit the mat 3 times together and the bell rang. At this point, everyone seemed confused as Shawn McKaieg announced Nemesis as the winners, but Milton Winkleman said it was Se7en's team. The referees even got into a shoving match, bringing Kareem Sadat out to break them up before a complete brawl erupted.

But then, amidst the dissention and confusion, Crisstopher Crow ran to the ring and joined in a 4-on-1 attack on Sage, then on Se7en. Crow, who had teamed with Logan as Nemesis in IZW, apparently had been in talks to rejoin the faction full time. And with his reintroduction, everything came full circle as the original trio was reunited.

No one knows what the plans for the fearsome foursome are. While Crow & Logan have been making a good entrance in IZW, they have yet to receive a tag team title shot. Rumours have it that they're wanting to bring the violence back to MSWA and ComPro, but that remains to be seen. As long as they're united, SWCW fans need to be concerned because it will take a force just as strong to knock them down from their pedastel.
