Pint-Size Contender Pulls Off Massive Victory In 6-Pack Challenge

Pint-Size Contender Pulls Off Massive Victory In 6-Pack Challenge

Since winning the title on June 1, MSWA Oklahoma Champion Bad Boy has been the epitome of a fighting champion, putting that title up for grabs against any and all callers. For many , the title seems to be the #1 belt in the company, especially during the time when NWA-U Oklahoma Tag Team & TCBW Dual Kombat Champion Al Farat had a stranglehold on the MSWA Mid-South Title. Consequently, the demand for an Oklahoma Title shot is so heavy that the MSWA Championship committee couldn't decide who deserved the next opportunity. So they came up with a match to settle things.

6 competitors would be chosen to face off in a one-fall Six Pack Challenge. Those challengers included OECW Champion Shawn Sanders, OECW Tag Team Champion Scott Sanders, Jason Kirby, Chaz Sharpe, Brock Landers and The Canadian Red Devil.

There was much history between various members of this 6-sided chaotic challenge. Kirby & Sharpe were partners at one point until Sharpe turned on Kirby following a loss in a tag team match. Sharpe & the Devil had tagged at the previous MSWA event in a losing effort against Kirby and his regular tag team partner Bud Barnes. Kirby also had some lingering issues with the New Age Syndicate members due to the actions of Scott Sanders while he was interim MSWA commissioner. And then there was Brock Landers, a man who noone seemed able to get along with due to his outrageous ego and prockly personality.

Fans waited eagerly for several in-ring pairings to occur, but one of the most anticipated was the moment when the Sanders twins ended up in the ring opposite each other. And it took a while, but eventually Scott & Shawn were tagged in together. Each man knew this was their opportunity to prove themselves to the fans as the senior brother in their tag team and proceded to try and gain the upper hand. But both men seemed to take it personally when they were injured by their brother and complained as if that wasn't supposed to happen. While the fans were amused by their antics, it really did nothing to show who the superior Sanders was.

All during the match, the Canadian Red Devil was irate at someone, be it the fans at ringside, ring announcer Milton Winkelman or the rest of the contenders in the match. Despite getting little offence in the match, the Devil certainly made an impression on this territory and ultimately proved to be part of the deciding moment in the match. After clearing the rest of the ring, the Devil stood facing the crowd and yelled that he was "King of the World!", unaware that Brock Landers had snuck up behind him. Moments later, Brock hit a urange suplex and pinned the Northern superstar to be declared the #1 contender to the Oklahoma Championship.

Normally, this would seem like an easy challenge for Bad Boy to fend off. Landers is not the most imposing person physically, which is part of the reason he irritates so many people. He simply brags too much for someone his size and isn't able to back up a lot of what he says. But, with Bad Boy involved in the Kevin Morgan/Outlaw feud, it's possible that the distraction and potential outside interference could lead to a massive upset. And Landers could finally shut the mouths of a lot of his critics by holding his first championship gold above his head.
