Brent Albright wins the Triple Crown in OVW
Posted: Apr 28th 2005 By: oklastaff
Brent Albright won the OVW Heavyweight Title at the TV tapings Tuesday, becoming the first person to win all 3 active OVW championships.
Brent defeated current Smackdown superstar Matt Morgan for the OVW title. Brent was already the OVW TV Champion, winning a tournament over Seth Skyfire in January to become the first champion. It?s presumed he will drop the TV title to concentrate on defending the Heavyweight Title.
Brent and current RAW superstar Chris Masters enjoyed a 3 month reign as OVW Tag Team Champions from April to July of 2004.
Rumours spread earlier this year about Brent being brought up to the RAW brand in tag team competition with Kevin Fertig, formerly Smackdown?s Mordecai, but that idea was nixed. Brent now can enjoy his run as OVW champion while waiting for the call to WWE glory.
