Great Clips Weekend with the Clippers

07/10/08 - International League (IL) Columbus Clippers
The Clippers begin a four game series at Cooper Stadium tonight against the Scranton Wilkes-Barre Yankees at 7:05 PM. Tyler Clippard (5-6, 4.35) will get the starting nod for the Clippers. The first 1,000 fans through the gates will receive a Clippers visor sponsored by Great Clips. As usual every Thursday night there will be great food and beverage specials from Roosters and Budweiser in the Quencher Corner.
On Friday, July 11th, the Clippers and Great Clips begin their salute to the great Clipper teams of the 1980s. The first 2,000 fans through the gates will receive a red Clippers cap with the 80s Clippers logo on the front.
WWE Superstar Mick Foley will be making an appearance at the ballpark to greet fans and sign autographs. Party at the Park in the picnic pavilion area will feature Street Players for your listening pleasure along with two Skyline Chili Cheese Coneys for $1.00 (while supplies last) from 6:00-7:15 PM. On Saturday, July 12th, the first 2,000 fans will receive 1980s Clippers t-shirts.
And finally on Sunday, July 13th, there will be a Steve Balboni / Marshall Brant dual bobblehead random drawing. The first 3,000 fans through the gates on Sunday will also receive a Marvel Triple-A Baseball Heroes comic book with a special custom Cooper Stadium cover.
