The Story Behind Sadat's Sudden Hardcore Challenge to Crow

The Story Behind Sadat's Sudden Hardcore Challenge to Crow

Posted: May 23rd 2008 By: CMBurnham

This issue started simply and suddenly and shook the SWCW locker room to the core. Eyewitnesses said upon entering the locker room after his Cruiserweight title match, Crow seemed happy with the outcome of the the successful Nemesis attack on champion Sage. Comments from Sadat soon circulated and Crow went to Kareem personally about the comments and Sadat looked down on Criss for taking his match outside the ring and treating it as if he had no rules to abide by. Crow stated that referee Rob Justice was more than fair allowing the brawl. Sadat was not impressed, stating that Crow is not and never will be "hardcore'.

Crow, naturally brass and cocky, took offense to the hardcore legend's remarks and attacked Sadat from behind as he walked away. The other wrestlers nearby heard the fight and quickly tried to break it up. The evening ended with Nemesis being ejected from the looker room for the remainder of the show. Everyone aware of the legit heat between the two were told to help them clear of one another.

The following night Kareem Sadat was booked to compete in Arkansas fresh of his hardcore title match with Rick Garrett. Bruised but driven to go against doctors' orders he redeemed himself with a victory and upon leaving the arena to head back home when he was attacked by Crow, this time in street clothes posing as a fan. The self claimed "Freakshow" stunned the ex champion with a tazer before continuing the cowardly beating. Security was alerted and escorted Crow from the property.

Sadat was said to had suffered only slight nerve damage from the jolt. Reportedly wrestlers and fans on the scene said Sadat was more angry than any of them had ever seen. It was buzzing the next day that Sadat had issued a challenge to the younger athlete stating that his Hardcore Resurrection was upon us and that he would bury the Freakshow's career before it even really got started.

When contacted for a statement about these events, Crisstopher Crow had the following to say: "Everyone keeps asking me if im dreading my match against the Hardcore Legend. I am not afraid of Kareem Sadat! Although this Barbedwire Casket Match may be a little out of my element, I plan to force Sadat to fight me with everything he has and, win or lose, we will steal the show. EVERYONE WILL KNOW WHY I AM THE FREAKSHOW!!!"

You can bet the Hardcore Legend will be looking for revenge in between now and the scheduled match on May 31st at the Underground arena in OKC.
