History Made At "Path Of Destruction"

History Made At "Path Of Destruction"

Posted: May 9th 2008 By: CMBurnham

The evening of Saturday May 3rd saw a packed house at Sooner World Class Wrestling's UnderGround Arena. The tension was thick in the air and the fans were ripe with anticipation. They knew they were about to be part of something big for .. They were not disappointed.

The action got kicked off by some high-flying cruiserweight action. SWCW Cruiserweight Champion "Shining Angel" Sage (who was accompanied by a lovely valet draped in purple) took on "Freakshow" Crisstopher Crow. The match was heated but the champion was distracted when SWCW tag champs Nemesis (Rage and Damien Morte) made their way to ringside. Sage having had his problems with the champs before knew to watch his back. Unfortunately just as suspected, at an opportune moment Nemesis jumped in the ring and attacked Sage like a pack of dogs causing Crow to be disqualified. Chants of "We want X-Rated!" went momenttarily unanswered as the trio continued their triple team of the champ. However shortly after Crow delivered a double footed stomp from the top rope "California Love" blared over the speakers and X-Rated (Shane Sanchez and Kevin James Sanchez) came down and cleared house. The Cruiserweight champion struggled to his feet and stood battered but not beaten. Then *BOOM* an attack from behind by a man who had jumped the guardrail. It only took fans a second to realize it was GPCW Cruiserweight Champion Xavior coming out to punish the man who beat him to gain the title. Sage was completely demolished as he was unable to put up a fight and fell victim to another variation of Xavior's "Hand that rocks the Cradle" DDT.

Winner By DQ and still SWCW Cruiserweight Champion: Sage

The second match of the night saw newcomer Spur the Clown go up against MSWA Mid-South Tag Team Champion "The Monster" 3rd Rail. Spur has been a huge crowd favorite but all the fan support he got still couldnt help him beat one of the most dominant forces in SWCW. Spur had a few flurries of offense but Rail made it clear he had no intention of "clowning around" and made short work of Spur.

Winner: 3rd Rail

Next the women of the audience were treating to some bumpin and grindin by Luscious Larry. The party was short lived as Romo's music hit and he came out all fired up. Romo grabbed the microphone and stated that he saw Luscious Larry eyein' his woman and that Larry needed to step off and continued to call Larry a punk b*tch. This of couse infuriated "The Luscious One" who charged Romo but got caught with a gut shot, Romo then slid between Larry's legs and rolled up the 300+ pound love machine for the pin. Romo celebrated his victory with the fans as Larry looked on dumbfounded.

Winner: Romo

After intermission it was time for the "Humiliation and Seperation" Triple Threat Tag Team Match. This match saw Nemesis put not their titles on the line but their pride and their entire career as a tag team against not only former champs X-Rated but also Xavior and partner Kevin Morgan. X-Rated started things off and after a back and forth battle had both Xavior and Morgan down, however when X-rated went to pin them Nemesis jumped in, threw x-rated out of the ring and scored the first fall for themselves. This meant per the stipulation of the match that Morgan and Xavior would never again be allowed to tag together in SWCW. X-Rated stormed back into the ring and brought the fight right to Nemesis. At one point in the match Nemesis running buddy Crisstopher Crow tried to pay back the favor from earlier and hit a springboard clothesline on Kevin James but was met with a superkick. Crow was sent over the top rope with the force of the kick but as Kevin James delivered the kick fans could see his supporting ankle roll underneath him. He went down and clutched him ankle. Though Kevin was not at 100% he managed to finish the match and help his brother Shane pick up the victory for X-Rated. Nemesis by stipulation of the match would then be forced to wear dresses any time they appeared at an SWCW show until the Sanchez's get a shot at the tag team titles.

Winners: X-Rated

Now the stage was set for the Heavyweight Title match. For a month fans had been voting for what stipulation the title match would be contested under. SWCW management had several meetings and took all votes into consideration it came down to one. A match that would almost guarantee that the challenger would not be able to cheat or use underhanded tactics. A Lumberjack Match. SWCW Heavyweight Champion Havoc was brought out first followed by the challenger "The Playboy" Damon Windsor. Referree Rob Justice ran down the rules for the combatants and checked for any foreign objects. Once the match was under way neither man could seem to get a solid lead, when one would get a move in the other would come right back with one of his own.Several times each man was tossed outside and beaten by the lumberjacks. Havoc eventually took control of "The Playboy"and set him up for Havoc's patented Hangman's DDT. Windsor was one step ahead though and reversed into his "One Night Stand" finisher. Exhausted; the cocky challenger crawled over and mad the cover but as the refs hand was coming down for the 3 count Havoc shot his shoulder up off the mat. Frustrsated Windsor again tossed Havoc outside where he was beaten by the rulebreakers of SWCW, this prompted Sage, Spur, Romo, and others to step in as the lumberjacks themselves started brawling. Ref Rob Justice jumped out to stop the mayhem outside the ring but was caught by a stray elbow and dropped to the ground. In the ring Havoc got a quick reversal on Windsor and this time Havoc's Hangman connected big time. The champion hooked the leg and waited for the three count but it never came. 3rd Rail saw the ref go down and was helping him into the ring and trying to revive him. When Havoc released the cover and looked up all he saw was Justice down and Rail in the ring. Thinking he had been setup Havoc attacked 3rd Rail but recieved a devastating Rail Bomb for his efforts. 3rd Rail continued revivng the ref and Windsor saw the opportunity of a lifetime. He crawled over and made the cover on the fallen champion and when Justice awoke he made the count 1...2...3. Those lumberjacks supporting Windsor erupted at the 3 count embracing him as celebrated his victory.

Winner and new SWCW Heavyweight Champion: Damon Windsor

The final match of the night was for the SWCW Hardcore title. Champion Kareem Sadat put his title on the line and Rick Garrett put up a $30,000 sports car. Kareem being the self proclaimed "Hardcore Legend" thought he had the match in the bag. However he didnt count on the fact that Garrett had a plan all along. The two went back and forth trading shots with various weapons. Garrett set his plan in action when he duct taped Sadat to a chain and proceeded to attack him with every weapon he could get his hands on. Once Sadat was physically worn out Garrett instituted the last part of his plan when he did the most humiliating thing he could to Sadat. Caused him to lose his beloved hardcore title...to a girl. Garrett had SWCW Commissioner and special referee Miss Sheila pin Kareem as Garrett counted the fall.

Winner and new SWCW Hardcore Champion: Miss Sheila

All in all it was a fantastic show. And with all the drama that happened at P.O.D. there's sure to be some repurcussions in the future.

Dont miss all the action of the next SWCW show coming to you on May31st.
