Huckabee visits Florence with Chuck Norris, Ric Flair

FLORENCE ? Presidential candidate Mike Huckabee brought a great deal of muscle to Florence as he promoted his conservative platform with action star Chuck Norris and professional wrestler Ric Flair.
?None of these guys would be up here with me if I was anything less than a conservative,? the former Arkansas governor said Thursday at Powers Aviation, next to Florence Regional Airport.
Also joining Huckabee were former Gov. David Beasley, Lt. Gov. Andr? Bauer and Mike Campbell, who campaigned against Bauer in 2006.
Much as the campaign brought the two former opponents together, Huckabee said he wants to bring the country together again.
?It?s time for us to realize that we are never going to solve the problems of this country if we are fighting each other,? he said.
Huckabee, a former Baptist minister, also reminded the audience that he is ?pro-life, pro-family, pro-marriage.? He has called for constitutional amendments to ban abortion and gay marriage.
Anything that?s not in the Constitution, he said, should be off limits to the federal government and left to the states.
