Pro Wrestling Smashes Into Miami
February 25th 2012 – Quapaw Casino presents the highly anticipated SMASHLAHOMA Pro Wrestling event to Miami, OK. The event will feature pro wrestling legends Hacksaw Butch Reed and the Beautiful Bobby Eaton, along with multiple up and coming superstars of the pro wrestling industry.
It has been nearly a decade since pro wrestling was featured at the Miami Civic Center and with the support of the community and local business it has been able to make a return. The event will feature 6 to 8 wrestling matches and will be marketed as an event the whole family can enjoy. Event directors insisted that the show be non-alcohol to encourage a family atmosphere. “There aren’t too many places a family can go to be entertained without the presence of alcohol and it was a big concern of the event committee when it was decided to move forward,” stated event promoter Jeff Lee. Mid-States Wrestling will provide most of the wrestling entourage and they have a history of providing top level entertainment as well. When speaking with Mid-States Commissioner Jason Jones, he stated that this event is called SMASHLAHOMA for a reason and that no table or chair in Miami, OK will be safe from destruction.
Tickets will be $10 and can be purchased day of the event at the gate or they can be purchased in advance at the Miami Convention and Visitor’s Bureau and/or at the Miami Public Utilities Department at the Miami Civic Center. The event will take place on Saturday February 25th and seating is first come first serve. Gates will open at 6:30pm and the show will start at 7:30pm.
