Allah Akbar! The General Brings His Terror Back to Oklahoma!

Skandar Akbar

Possibly the most hated manager in Oklahoma history returned to this state last Saturday as General Skandar Akbar stepped up to assist the Disciples of Allah in their continuing war against AACW Champion and MSWA Mid-South Tag Team Champion Glen Steel.

In what seems to have become almost a custom, the Disciples interrupted the singing of the American National Anthem, but this time, Kareem Sadat & Mustafa Sharmoot did not come alone. After making their entrance to the ring, Sharmoot announced that he had brought General Akbar with them. Akbar made his way down the ramp and all 3 began to badmouth Glen Steel, who was in the ring protecting the girl who was singing the nation anthem. Quickly, a 2-on-1 attack occurred and lasted until Overdose & AACW newcomer AWOL came to Steel's rescue. Steele grabbed the microphone and told the crowd that it seemed like the Disciples couldn't ever get anything done in a 1-on-1 situation, referring in part to the 2-on-1 handicap match that he would have against the Disciples later that night.

With the General in their camp, the Disciples of Allah now seem to be once again raising themselves up to the level of the other factions in AACW like The Family or Corporate America. Sadat & Sharmoot made an attack on former AACW Tag Team Champions Trailer Park Trash, which probably didn't make Corporate America leader Talon happy, as her team of Michael James & AACW newcomer Tommy Smash were disqualified. But that wasn't the focus of Sadat & Sharmoot. When it came time for the main event, even though he faced what was, in reality, 3-on-1 odds, Glen Steel never waivered from his devotion to the fans, the ring and the AACW Title. After a bit of mistiming on the part of Sharmoot, Steel cradled Sadat and won the match, retaining the title. Akbar was outraged and ordered another 2-on-1 beatdown, which lasted until newly crowned AACW Tag Team Champion AWOL once again came to Steele's defence.

Steel will now need all the assistance he can get from the House of Strange to fend off the challenge of the Disciples of Allah (as well as the other challengers in AACW), but some help should arrive on October 15 when House of Strange leader Damien Strange returns to action and will be present for the TV Taping. Will Strange have to deal with the General? Show up and find out for yourself.
