More Oklahoma wrestlers in latest Texas Top 100

Slam Shady

Indywarz.com released its Spring 2006 Top 100 Texas Wrestlers list on Monday June 26th and several wrestlers with Oklahoma experience made the list, many more than appeared on the Winter 2005 list. Indywarz also announced that they would not be releasing a Winter 2006 Top 100, but are looking into doing a Top 100 Tag Teams in Texas poll instead.

Several names with minimal Oklahoma experience made the list. Bobby 2 Badd (#81), Apoc (#55), Tim Storm (#36), Steve DeMarco (#48), The Bluechippers, Jerry & Jeff Brown (#42 and #39 respectively), Al Jackson (#25), Dave The Rave (#23), and Greg Symmonds (#19) all have wrestled in Oklahoma at one time or another. Action Jackson (#34) who wrestled for the Bill Watts owned Mid-South Wrestling & UWF as Perry Jackson was ranked again this year as well.

This year however is where the differences lie. Several stars with vast Oklahoma experience were listed this year. Here they are:

#99 John O'Malley: The current NWA Universal Oklahoma Heavyweight Champion and IZW Cruiserweight Champion was ranked #1 overall in Oklafan's Top 50 for 2005. He is also one of the most traveled stars from the area. Aside from working for Asylum Championship Wrestling and Total Texas Wrestling down in Texas, as well as IZW and MSWA in Oklahoma, he and Se7en are known as The Crazy 88's in Mid-States Wrestling in Arkansas and Kansas. O'Malley has been a force in ACW for sometime and has recently entered a feud with Brandon Bishop in TTW for their Heavyweight Title.

#98 Matt Garza: Another traveling star from the area, Garza is the current Texas X Division Champion for Total Texas Wrestling and also 1/2 of the top rated tag team in Asylum Championship Wrestling along with Mr. Brown. In Oklahoma, Garza is ranked #2 in the IZW top tag teams, paired with Shane Morbid. He is also one of Brandon Bishop's trusted associates.

#95 American Anarchy: The masked man is one of the biggest stars of Texas Professional Wrestling Association and has also been competing as Patriot #1 in Patriotic Pro Wrestling and American Championship Wrestling as well. He is a former TPWA American Champion and also a former American Championship Wrestling Tag team Champion. While he held the NWA-U Oklahoma Tag Team Titles with Brandon Groom when the company went on hiatus, the titles were not reinstated on start up and Anarchy did not compete on NWA-U's return show. No word on his return as of yet.

#91 Spoiler 2000: A former NWA-U Television Champion, Spoiler 2000 seems to be more focused lately on his tag team with Bash, known as Mass Destruction. They have recently picked up the Championship Wrestling Productions Tag Team Titles for the 2nd time and have been terrorizing Texas Professional Wrestling Association and American Championship Wrestling rings in Texas as well. They also have recently began competing in NWA-U as a team. Spoiler 2000 is a former TPWA American Champion, TPWA Heavyweight Champion, as well as other titles around Texas. He was NWA-U TV Champion when the company went on hiatus and the title was not reinstated on the company's restart.

#82 Brandon Bishop: One of the most controversial wrestlers in Oklahoma and possibly Texas, Brandon Bishop never fails to speak his mind. Sometimes in the process burning bridges. He is the current Total Texas Wrestling Champion and is currently in a feud with John O'Malley over that title. He is also the driving force behind Asylum Championship Wrestling. In Oklahoma, he has been fired from IZW yet is feuding with owner John Zorthos as well. He left TPW in controversial fashion after one match last year, and was suspended indefinitely from SRPW. Where ever Brandon Bishop goes, drama is sure to follow.

#66 Cade Sydal: Yet another young superstar that seems to be traveling anywhere he can get a match. Sydal is also quite successful. After a successful run with Mitch Carter in Asylum Championship Wrestling as tag champs, they recently won the IZW Tag Team Titles as well. Sydal has also become a star in the new upstart fed, Total Texas Wrestling where he formed the J&C Express with James Warbois. Along with these successes, Sydal won the SRPW Championship this year and continues his feud with his former tag team partner Timmy J. Sydal was voted into the Texas Top 100 the night the list was revealed by the fans in the Indywarz chat room. Originally the chat room voted wrestler would receive the #100 slot, but was inserted at #66 instead.

#64 Slam Shady: A member of Body Count in NWA-U, the faction led by Charming Charles, Slam Shady has already solidified himself as a force to be reckoned with. Shady has worked a few WWE house shows and dark matches using the name Anthony Colletti. But in Texas is where he has found the most success. He is the current Texas Professional Wrestling Association Champion and also works for Championship Wrestling Productions and Professional Championship Wrestling.

#57: Dusty Wolfe: The name you may not recognize. Mostly because in Oklahoma he doesn't use that name. Here in Oklahoma he dons the clown mask and wig and competes as Doink the Clown. Wolfe has been competing somewhere in wrestling since 1982 and shows no sign of stopping. He most recently worked a match against Ricky Morton in MSWA. He is also the AWE Heavyweight Champion.

Oklafan would like to congratulate all the wrestlers that made the list.
