Luke Grayson Interview

Luke Grayson Interview

Posted: Nov 14th 2016 By: Lance Osburn

To start go ahead and introduce yourself.

My name is Wesley Allen, I'm from Little Rock Arkansas, and I've been working for about 2 and a half years. So far I've worked for companies such as Body Progression Pro Wrestling (BPPW), Steel Rage Pro Wrestling (SRPW), Compound Pro Wrestling, Midsouth Wrestling Alliance (MSWA), and Wrestling For a Cause (WFC).

Why wrestling? What made you want to do this?

I grew up around professional wrestling, as my dad was a ring announcer for OPW, OCW, SRPW, and a commentator for WLW. So I knew once I was of age I wanted to do this, and once I turned 18 I got trained (kinda) and got licensed.

Where and how long did you train before your fist match?

I trained with Brandon Groom, Cole Crittenden, and Steve Cox, for about three months before my first match, which wasn't long enough at all. I would have liked to had at least a year under my belt before a match.

Tell me about your first match and what are some highlights you remember from it?

My first match, I worked Tom Kenworthy as "That Handsome Devil" and it was basically just simple spots leading up to me hitting my finisher at the time which was a jumping complete shot, which is now Lance Osburns' finish. The thing that stands out the most as a highlight for that match was the finish itself, Tom decided to spike bump the move and it pretty much looked like he scorpioned, so it was pretty nasty.

From that point what are some career highlights that really stick out to you?

Career highlights that are really prominent would probably include being part of the group that made SRPW the best fed in the state, as well as Winning the Compound Tag Team belts.

Who were some people you looked up to when you started out?

At the time I looked up a lot to Brent Albright, growing up around him and watching him work was always fun. But as I've aged I find myself looking up to people like Riker, Mr. Nasty, and Jon Cross.

What are some future goals you wish to acompish?

My future goals are take Jon Cross' place and become "The Best In The State."

If you could work anyone, past or present, who would it be?

My dream match would probably be a Cage match with Riker, Mr. Nasty, or Jon Cross
