Skyler Fayden Interview
Posted: Nov 7th 2016 By: Lance Osburn
To start go ahead and introduce yourself.
My name is Skyler Fayden. I’m from Tulsa Oklahoma. I’ve been wrestling for 6 years for UWE, WFC, SRPW, Compound Pro, MSWA, AIW, ROC, Mid States, SAW, MERC, and BPPW.
Why wrestling? What made you want to do this?
I enjoy the flair, the stories and the action.
So how did you get into the business?
I use to “wrestle” for an unlicensed Christian fed called AIW who what the focus of putting on shows to bring people closer to God. Through there I met a bunch of contacts including Brad Eubanks, who actually trained me professionally.
How long did you train before your fist match?
Maybe a year.
When your fist match and what are some highlights you remember from it?
I took on a masked man called Flava on October 30, 2010. I wrestled acting like Ray Martinez. I only remember getting slammed on a pile of tootsie rolls
From then on what are some highlights that really stick out to you?
Training under Johnny Gargano and Candice LeRae, wrestling a match against Louis Lyndon at AIW in Indiana, and winning tag belts with my best friend Danny Boyer.
Who were some people you looked up to when you started out?
Originally Jeff Hardy, but the people who inspired me the longest are Daniel Bryan and Chris Jericho.
What are some future goals that you wish to accomplish?
To wrestle again in AIW, Train in Alpha-1 in Canada, work a few higher lever indie feds (evolve being the main goal for now), and try my hand at holding a few singles titles to show I can hold my own.
What would your dream match be?
Me vs my trainer Johnny Gargano I any fed!
