Fuel Interview

Fuel Interview

Posted: Oct 25th 2016 By: Lance Osburn

To start go ahead and introduce yourself.

My name Brad Eubanks AKA The Man Called Fuel. I’m from Tahlequah, OK. I’ve been working for 14 ½ years at UWE, SPW, WFC, SRPW, Compound Pro, MSWA, WWE.

Why did you want to be a wrestler?

As a baby probably not even a month old I'd be with my grandma watching wrestling, growing up watching Sting, Ultimate Warrior, Macho Man Randy Savage, Ricky Steamboat, Ric Flair, Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels, Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Rock, and being captivated and imagining being them then one fateful night in Tahlequah at like 4-5 years old since I was the only kid with his face painted as Sting me and my brother got to sit front row to watch The World Champion Sting defend his title against Sid Vicious I even tried to help my hero by biting and clawing at Sid.....then we found out we can actually become wrestlers, and so we found a place to train and being able to put an audience on an emotional roller coaster ride that helps them forget their troubles is just a great feeling.

So how did you get into wrestling? Who trained you?

Well my we would check the Indy Feds that would come through from time to time and we made small talk about training and things, well my brother worked at a local 24/7 restaurant in Tahlequah and one night Daniel Flynn and Big Smooth happen to be in there, My brother had heard of Big Smooth and talked to the them about training, they gave him Running Wolfs # and we met up with them down there, paid some money and went through hours and hours of cardio Hell!!!!!! And when they saw that we wouldn't quit that's when everything began....two months later we had our first match and I guess the rest is history

Tell me a little about your first match. What are some highlights you remember from it?

So I'm nervous, throat was so dry, my entrance music is the first track on the cd, yup back when we had to use CDs ha-ha...and they played the 2nd track which was "The Memory Remains" which looking back it was fitting...myself and my brother went out there and did everything we could think of, and surprisingly had a good match! Funny moment is I decided I wanted to hit a Superplex off the top rope, well I put his legs wrong and so I I get knocked off, and as I laid there looking up at my brother I realize that he already hit the only move he knows off the top, he doesn't know anything else...he dives off and basically lands hip first on me....hurt like hell...ha-ha.

Who were some people you looked up to when you started out?

Well my main two have always been Sting & Shawn Michaels, But Ultimate Warrior, Bret Hart, Ricky Steamboat, Ric Flair, Stone Cold Steve Austin & The Rock, was pretty big on HHH and became a RVD fan Presently my top picks besides the ones on the top The Undertaker, John Cena, Chris Jericho, Finn Balor, Seth Rollins, (Daniel Bryan...honorable mention) and I have a love hate relationship with Brock Lesnar currently though I'm a fan ha-ha.

Throughout your career, what are some highlights that really stick out to you?

Always my first match, it was like my third match we were in a 6man tag and my partners back body dropped me over the top and I did a 450 plancha on my opponents....when I won my first main title the SPW title. That was the last time my mom got to see me wrestle. When, thanks to Max McGuirk, when along with Brandon Walker we got to be extras for Smackdown we got to hang out in the back and watch the monitor with everyone that was an awesome experience! My one on one match with Big Smooth in my first match in Tahlequah and won that was the first and last time my Grandpa got to watch me wrestle. First UWE event, my ladder match with Cross, getting to perform and make happy the kids we fought for in WFC, But I got to tell you when I started doing face paint and seeing kids out there with their faces painted....& the time my daughter Ella came out to the ring with me and my last match!

What are some future goals you wish to accomplish?

Helping UWE reach new heights that we’ve never achieved before.

If you could work anyone, past or present, who would it be?

Past, Absolutely Shawn Michaels
Present, Brock Lesnar, just to know if I'd survive ha-ha
But seriously though....Brock
