Interview With Brian Breaker

Posted: Aug 29th 2016 By: Lance Osburn

To start go ahead and introduce yourself.

My Name is Ryan Collins but I Wrestle by the name Brian Breaker. I am from Sand Springs Oklahoma and I have been working for 9 years. I have worked for NXT, Pro Wrestling Noah, WLW, and many other Midwest indies.

Why wrestling? What made you want to do this?

I've always been a fan, something I have been interested my entire life and something I couldn't imagine not being involved with.

So how did you get into the business?

I started in 2006 in Oklahoma, the independent I went too quite frankly wasn't very good. So I made the decision if I was going to do this I wanted to go somewhere with it. I found a group in WLW that was headed up by a hall of famer, Harley Race, I saved up money and moved to Eldon Missouri in 2007.

How long did you train before you had your first match?

It took 8 months, training 3 days a week for 3 hours a day.

When was your first match? Who did you face? And what were some highlights you remember from the match?

March 8, 2008 teaming with NOAH's Go Shiozaki vs Dinn T More (now ROH's Beer City Bruiser) & Derek McQuinn.I was more nervous than I could really put into words but having Harley Race tell me good job really made it all worthwhile.

When you started, who were some people you looked up to?

Macho Man Randy Savage, Razor Ramon, Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels, and many others.

Throughout your career what are some highlights that stick out the most?

My first Wwe Dark Match against Vladimir Kozlov
Working a dark match at Full Sail for NXT vs Damien Sandow and competing against Marufuji in 10 man Tag in Korakuen Hall in Japan

If you could work anyone, past or present, who would you work?

I would choose to work Go Shiozaki.

What are some future goals? Anything you would love to accomplish?

My goals would to be to work full time in Japan.

Any final remarks? Anything you would want people to know?

If you have never watched wrestling before, watch it, with an open mind. You don't have to like it, but at least see why everyone involved in it loves it so much.
