Interview With Justin Lee
Posted: Mar 26th 2014 By: CMBurnham
BB: For those not familiar, tell us a little about how you got into the pro wrestling business.
JL: I got into wrestling as a fan in 2001. I had been a decent martial artist and decided to make the switch. I won my debut match against Dexter Hardaway to win Oklahoma's light heavyweight championship. I wrestled very actively for about a decade. Now I wrestle a few times year in big events like the Bartlesville Brawl.
BB: You've accomplished quite a lot in your career. What stands out to you as some of your biggest accomplishments?
JL: I won the Southern States Super 8 Tournament in 2002. It was a big deal at the time. It proved I could compete against some of the best guys in the country. In 2004 I finally won the Oklahoma Heavyweight Championship. I was one of the smaller guys to have held that title. I have held a few other titles in between there.
BB: Describe your in ring style.
JL: I am a high flyer with a martial arts background. I promise to deliver a lot of flips and exciting moves, as well as some kicks that rattle some teeth this Friday.
BB: You were part of some successful tag teams, including with Max McGuirk. What are your thoughts on facing him this Friday?
JL: Max and I are best friends. We motivate each other to be better. Our tag team was one of the best in the country and we traveled all over Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Texas winning matches. He and I have been working together in Bartlesville for a while and it was a dream of ours to promote an event for this great town. Bartlesville has kind of turned into my new adopted hometown. I know he is one of the best there is and part of me wants to know if I got what it takes to beat him.
BB: Any final words for the fans before the event?
JL: I am just grateful to have had the success in my life to be at this point. I hope that I can live up to the expectations that many of my fans have who have been asking me to do another match. I have had some great matches in my life and I plan on this one with Max being my best ever.
