Interview with Shane Rawls

Interview with Shane Rawls

Posted: Oct 16th 2007 By: mikeiles

The other day I had the chance to sit down with the 6'4" 280 pound Shane "The Brawler" Rawls. I have seen many wrestlers over the years and this young man reminds me so much of one of my all time favories, Bruiser Brody.

BDJ- Hello Mr. Rawls, I have now seen you wrestle in several places. Tell me, who did you train under?

SR- The great Tom Jones, a man I highly respect.

BDJ- I remember him, I saw him just the other day. He still looks good enough to climb back in the ring today. Was he the one that gave you that name "The Brawler"?

SR- No, the first man to call me that was the "Crown Prince of Crimson" himself, Al Farat.

BDJ- I have seen you in matches all over, how many federations have you worked for?

SR- Oh yes, well let me see, there is MSWA, UWF06, ZUNO, SWCW, Mid South Wrestling Arkansas and Oh yeah, the fedration over in Amarillo, Texas.

BDJ- That's a good number and I have seen where you are booked to work in Kansas and Louisana. When this interview comes out you will have been in matches in Ardmore and in Oklahoma City. Where do you call home?

SR- Well, I was born in Moore, Oklahoma, So that is where I call home.

BDJ- You debuted in July 2006, yet you seem to be a knock'em down, take no prisoners kind of grappler. Who have you patterend your style of wrestling after?

SR- I am self made, it's called "smash mouth" wrestling. When two men step into the ring only one should come out the winner. Don't bet against me, I will be the winner or I will be disqualified trying. You can expect pure hell when I am in the ring.

BDJ- Whart are your goals in the near future?

SR- I am going on to rock the wrestling world, move over and fear me, for I am coming for your crown. I will take their belts. Watch for me to start takeing belts where ever I am wrestling.

BDJ- You have wrestled various other wrestlers of some note, who have been some of your most memorable?

SR- I would say that Eric Rose, Ky' ote, and Matt Riviera were the most memorable.

BDJ- If you were to wrestle one of today's stars, Who would you most like to meet?

SR- (thinking about the question) probably Samoa Joe.

BDJ- Why him?

SR- I think that he and I could raise the roof if we faced each other. People would know that the Brawler is all busness.and will face all comers with equal furor.

BDJ- Who in he past would you have liked to have faced?

SR- I think that you knoiw that couldn't happen. I guess if it were possible, I would say Kobayoshi.

BDJ- You make me think of you as an old time gun slinger, you are gunning for the top guns.

SR- Yes, I am the best and I want the chance to prove it. Put me up against your best.

I want to thank you for the interview and I really appreciate your time.

Watch for the Brawler to make a big impact where ever he goes. If there is a wrestler to make it big time, this is your man. You can tell them that Big Daddy Jones said so. This has been Big Daddy Jones on the beat.
