National Wrestling Alliance-Oklahoma

NWA-OK was originally owned by Christopher Fox and SlyFox Productions. The company began in April 2004. They closed its doors in September 2004 for a seven month hiatus, reopening in April 2005. One week later the company changed its name to NWA Universal. The company changed its name back to NWA Oklahoma and began running shows again on May 31, 2008. The last show run under Fox's ownership was on October 4, 2008. After that last show, Fox relocated to Tennessee and got out of the wrestling business. NWA Oklahoma was reopened when Alexander Santos and Thomas Hood began a partnership with NWA Southwest owner Ken Taylor. The company ran the first show under the Santos-Hood ownership on February 20, 2009. In December 2009 it was announced they would be on hiatus until April 2010. During the hiatus, Dane Griffin wrestled on a few NWA affiliated shows in Texas and was recognized as NWA Oklahoma Heavyweight Champion. Robert Langdon became full owner of the company in April 2010. The company ran shows in several different venues around the state until shutting down once again after October 2, 2010. They returned for 1 show in Springer, OK on June 11, 2011.
