Impact Zone Wrestling

Impact Zone Wrestling began in 2004 and was owned by John Zorthos, who wrestled as Johnny Z. IZW began by promoting shows in the southwestern portion of Oklahoma, concentrating mostly in Lawton. IZW drew large crowds at the super shows they ran in the Great Plains Coliseum in Lawton. They ran the majority of their shows at the Salvation Army Boys & Girls Club also in Lawton. IZW had a working relationship with Asylum Championship Wrestling while ACW was based in Wichita Falls, TX. In Spring of 2007, IZW relocated to Oklahoma City, running a few shows at the National Guard Armory before establishing a home at The Impact Arena and running shows every Saturday night. IZW returned to their original stomping grounds of Lawton on September 13, 2008 but staying with a weekly format. They were the first Oklahoma based fed to run monthly internet pay-per-views. They steered away from having a weekly event concentrating on the PPV endeavors. They ceased operations on October 7, 2017 .
