Federations
Central States Wrestling Alliance
The Central States Wrestling Alliance was started in 1989 by Steve Bellveal, Chon Scott, who competed as Annihilator, and Raymon Downey, who also competed and managed as Flamon Raymon. Bellveal had been involved in several wrestling federations in northeast Oklahoma including Sooner Pro Wrestling. Unfortunately he passed away before CSWA ran their first show. Downey and Scott continued to run shows after his passing. The CSWA ran shows around the northeast Oklahoma region in venues like National Guard Armories. In mid-1990, Downey and Scott decided that the name Central States Wrestling Association sounded too regional and they changed the name to World Wrestling Empire.
