Universal Wrestling Federation 2006
The Universal Wrestling Federation was founded in 2006 by Jerry Bostic, who was also one of the company's wrestlers. The Universal Wrestling Federation hope to offer a new exciting alternative for not only professional wrestling fans, but people in general. The headquarters of the business is located in Ardmore. The inaugural event of the Universal Wrestling Federation was held on August 26, 2006 in Ardmore at the Hardy Murphy Coliseum. It featured not only legends in professional wrestling, but newcomers as well. This version Universal Wrestling Federation was not affiliated with any other company in any aspect, although they claim to have blessing from Bill Watts to use the name. Oklafan refers to this fed as UWF06 to avoid confusion to the UWF that was run by Bill Watts. On April 25, 2008 UWF06 officially changed its name to 3rd Degree Wrestling. On July 10, 2011, UWF06 returned, running a show in Davis. They moved back to their old home in Ardmore beginning on September 25, 2011 and ran shows there and in Madill. They ran their last event on April 15, 2012.
