NEWS
ESPN last week released three new video clips from the upcoming "30 for 30: Nature Boy" documentary. These teaser clips show Flair explaining the origin of the Wooooo! catch phrase, men living vicariously through him in the 80s, and his flamboyant in-ring career and lifestyle. The 1 hour 17 minute documentary takes a look at the two-time WWE Hall of Famer from a young age to where he is today, with several of his peers and family members interviewed. It is directed by Rory Karpf for ESPN Films and the doc premieres Tuesday, November 7 at 10pm Eastern on ESPN. You can see the clips by clicking here.

A special screening of the "30 for 30: Nature Boy" was screened Thursday at the Regal Cinemas in Atlanta, GA. The screening was followed by a moderated panel hosted by ESPN’s Marty Smith. Among those in attendance with Ric Flair were his daughter Charlotte, The Undertaker and his wife Michelle McCool, Dallas Page, Fit Finlay, Dolph Ziggler, Mick Foley, Mark Henry, Dana Warrior, Michael Hayes, Triple H, Luke Gallows, and others. This was a rare out-of-character appearance by The Undertaker, who was also interviewed and appears in the documentary. The documentary chronicles the life of two-time WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair and the sacrifices he made to be the best professional wrestler in the world.

The Finn Balor vs. A. J. Styles match at last Sunday's "TLC" ended with the Too Sweet hand sign, in what many saw as a clear FU to The Young Bucks, who received a cease and desist letter from WWE a few weeks ago over their constant use of the gesture. The Twitter-world was all up in arms over what happened and one individual wrote that Vince McMahon flew Styles all the way from South America at the last minute to “throw a televised middle finger in the Young Bucks’ face.” Styles took note of the tweet and actually replied, explaining that Vince McMahon had nothing to do with the Too Sweet sign between him and Balor. “In fact, I say it was two men showing the world that we haven’t forgotten where we came from. Forever will we love our BC brothers,” Styles wrote. Balor was short and sweet in his Twitter message, writing just, “TOO SWEET.” The Young Bucks did not address what happened publicly yet. Both Superstars are former leaders of the Bullet Club faction.

A. J. Styles said the "Too Sweet" sign at the end of his match with Finn Balor was something they decided and not something they were told to do. They said they wanted to show they haven't forgotten where they came from and that they love their Bullet Club brothers.

Jeff Jarrett was not at the "Rise of Legends War Games" show last Saturday night in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. River City Wrestling said that Jarrett boarded a plane and left the country Saturday morning after working the night before in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The promotion announced it before the show and said anyone who purchased a VIP package can get a free ticket to the show in November in Edmonton as an apology and advanced ticket holders can get a November ticket for just $10. Apparently there was an issue when Jarrett flew in and this led to him flying back home after the first show rather than staying for the second show.

Jeff Jarrett and Global Force Wrestling just got officially terminated by Anthem Sports and Entertainment. “Impact Wrestling announced today that it has terminated its business relationship with Jeff Jarrett and Global Force Entertainment Inc., effective immediately,” a tweet said. Jeff Jarrett took an indefinite leave of absence from his position as Chief Creative Officer of Impact on September 6th. The reason given was that he would be tackling some personal matters however he would still be available as a consultant to Anthem as needed. The company had been noticing behavioral issues over several weeks and that led Ed Nordholm to send Jarrett home. Meanwhile, as promotion for "Bound For Glory" kicked off, the GFW name was evidently missing from promotional material and replaced just by Impact. In late June, Anthem announced that TNA would be rebranded as Global Force Wrestling after Jeff Jarrett agreed to sell the company. However, that deal was not finalized and things fell apart even more when Jeff Jarrett was sent home. The company has ordered new title belts to replace the ones that they commissioned in late August bearing the GFW initials and logo.

Regarding Jeff Jarrett, his official departure from Impact announced Monday had nothing to do with what happened over the weekend as it was reported late last week that the decision was being made and was more or less final and about to be announced. What happened was Jarrett was to work shows in Calgary and Edmonton last weekend for Real Canadian Wrestling. He showed up in Calgary, in no condition to perform although he did do a match and it was said to be similar to his performance at AAA's "TripleMania". The promoter said he didn't know Jarrett was in such bad shape until the match started but others there said that couldn't be the case because it was clear backstage. He told the promotion that he was held at customs and was told he had to return the next morning and would have to miss Edmonton. The promotion later found out that Jarrett rebooked his flight from Sunday morning to Saturday morning and left before the Saturday night show in Edmonton. The promotion said that Jarrett boarded a plane and left the country on his own accord Sunday morning and later said Jarrett "chose to leave the country due to his own issues."

Real Canadian Wrestling promoter Steven Ewaschuk told ProWrestlingSheet.com that Jeff Jarrett passed out from drinking in a locker room at their show last Friday and then wanted to wrestle regardless of his condition. Jarrett was supposed to wrestle the next day as well but fled the country after he told the promoter that he had issues at the border and was only allowed in by border patrol on the condition that he would “be back at the airport by 6am the next morning to handle everything.” The promoter said that Jarrett showed up looking intoxicated and late for the show and then passed out. When intermission came, he was woken up to fulfill his photos obligations and then had a match to wrestle. As his music played on for a while, Jarrett did not come out, and his opponent who was already in the ring got on the mic and told the fans that “Jeff was upstairs getting drunk.” Eventually, Jarrett came out and wrestled. The footage provided by RCW shows Jarrett not in the best condition and certainly looking under the effect of something. Jarrett told ProWrestlingSheet.com that he did not pass out in the locker room and called promoter Steven Ewaschuk an amateur. You can see the video by clicking here.

It was reported Wednesday that Jeff Jarrett checked into rehab to battle his alcohol addiction. The initial contact to get Jarrett help was made by his wife Karen Jarrett. Earlier in the week, Jarrett was reportedly accused of passing out drunk in the locker room of an indie promotion in Canada, before insisting on wrestling a match. He was also let go from his executive position for Impact Wrestling.

Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer is reporting that it was Jeff Jarrett’s wife Karen who worked with WWE to get her husband help by sending him to rehab all on the company’s dime. Karen, who is the ex-wife of Kurt Angle, also thanked Brian James, better known as The Road Dogg, for being there for Jeff during this difficult time. WWE has a program where all past and current performers can check into a WWE sponsored rehab facility with all expenses paid by the company. It’s interesting to note that WWE and Jarrett did not have the best of relationships, dating back to when Jarrett held WWE “hostage” for a large sum of money in 1999. In October of that year, WWE did not realize that Jarrett’s contract expired the day before he was supposed to lose the Intercontinental Title to Chyna at "No Mercy". The rumor is that Jarrett demanded $300,000 in order to go out and do the job to Chyna and WWE had to pay up so Jarrett did not leave for WCW with the title. The animosity between the two parties was also evident when Vince McMahon bought WCW and on the RAW/Nitro simulcast, he pretty much fired him on air in a backstage segment. “Now as far as the Jeff Jarretts of the world are concerned, you know how Jeff spells his name? That’s J, E, double F? Well you know what, hmm, I would suspect that he’ll spell it in a different way after tonight. That would be capital G double O, double N, double E…gone,” McMahon said at the beginning of the show. Jarrett has had nothing to do with the company since his departure in 1999.

Scott Steiner will be wrestling soon in Australia for All Action Wrestling in Perth, against Wayne Maniac Mattei, who is said to be a giant jacked up guy who has done security for WWE and celebrities and heads a group called The Bullet Kliq.
