The new names in alphabetical order are Akira Tozawa, Alexander Wolfe, Andre the Giant, The Ascension (Konnor & Viktor), Bam Bam Bigelow, Baron Corbin, Big Bossman, The Big Show, Bray Wyatt, The British Bulldog (Davey Boy Smith), Braun Strowman, Bret Hart, Brie Bella, Buddy Roberts, The Bushwackers (Bushwacker Luke & Bushwacker Luke), Cesaro, Dallas Page, Dean Ambrose, Dolph Ziggler, Dusty Rhodes, Eric Young, Erick Rowan, Emma, Goldust, Jinder Mahal, Karl Anderson, Luke Gallows, Mark Henry, Hideo Itami, Kalisto, Kane, Kevin Nash, Killian Dain, Lita, Luke Harper, Nikki Bella, Nikki Cross, Paige, Sami Zayn, Sawyer Fulton, Sheamus, Sin Cara, Summer Rae, and The Undertaker. They join Seth Rollins and Kurt Angle who have been previously announced. Doing commentary for WWE 2K18 will be Michael Cole, Byron Saxton, and Corey Graves.

The only match ever featuring The Rock-N-Roll Express (Ricky Morton & Robert Gibson) vs. The British Bulldogs (Dynamite Kid & Davey Boy Smith) is currently available on the WWE Network under Hidden Gems. The match took place in Kansas City, MO in 1989.

It seems that the medical problems that Ric Flair has are worse than his management team at Legacy Talent and Entertainment, LLC initially revealed as Melinda Morris Zanoni today gave an update which was not good news. Her initial tweet and comments to the press were that Flair was in for “routine” checks and nothing to panic about but today, the CEO of Legacy Talent said that if you are a friend or fan of Ric Flair, “we need prayers and positive energy.” Zanoni added that Flair is dealing with “some tough medical issues” although she did not elaborate on the medical problems. The 68-year-old two-time WWE Hall of Famer was admitted into a hospital after encountering some heart-related problems. He is currently in ICU.

WWE.com is carrying the Ric Flair hospital story but did not disclose any new information, choosing the quote Legacy Talent and Entertainment, LLC CEO Melinda Morris Zanoni’s tweet asking for prayers. Flair is in a hospital in Atlanta where he was admitted over the weekend. His daughter, Charlotte, flew to China to do some promotion for WWE’s return to the country in September and the launch of the WWE Network and knew everything about the situation involving her father. It’s being reported that friends are not being allowed to visit although Michael PS Hayes, who lives in the same area, tweeted that he went to visit Flair before flying out yesterday and wrote, “I can assure that he needs everyone's prayers and positive vibes.” Meanwhile, Fightful.com founder Jimmy Van added that according to sources close to the Flair family, the Nature Boy was in a medically induced coma as of Monday morning,

As coincidence would have it, the "Table for 3" with Ric Flair, Ricky Steamboat, and Sting was scheduled to air after RAW Monday night on the WWE Network. The network pulled it due to Flair’s condition.

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer reported that Ric Flair underwent colon surgery to remove a blockage that caused a variety of health problems including kidney failure. The 16-time World Champion remains in critical condition at a hospital in Atlanta, GA where he is on kidney dialysis as well. Meltzer adds that the major issue at the moment is to get the kidneys functioning normal again. While the surgery was successful, it remains to be seen how Flair’s body reacts to the procedure and he will remain hospitalized for the time being. Getting the kidneys working again will be a big win but failing to do so will complicate matters. Flair was admitted to the hospital by his family with heart- related problems. Initially, his management team at Legacy Talent and Entertainment, LLC said that it wasn’t serious and it was just a routine check but the statement couldn’t have been farther from the actual truth.

Sports Illustrated is now reporting that Ric Flair had a part of his bowel removed during surgery this week after an intestinal blockage caused several of his organs to shut down, including his kidneys. The original report by Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer stated that he underwent colon surgery, something that Flair’s fiancée yesterday denied in a post on Facebook. The report by Sports Illustrated, written by Justin Barrasso, adds that Flair did not suffer a heart attack and the surgery was unrelated to heart issues. The 16-time World Champion is expected to remain in hospital for the next month if not more as the surgery had more complications, although at the end of the day it was deemed a successful one. Despite the positive outcome, Flair remains in intensive care unit and his life is still in danger as other complications from his procedure might come up.

Legacy Talent and Entertainment LLC updated Flair's condition on Saturday. They posted on Facebook, "Out of respect for family privacy there has not been an official Ric Flair update but that has led to a lot of false information. Don't believe everything you read. Happy to report @RicFlairNatrBoy is awake, communicating and progressing ...but there have been complications so he needs rest for the first time in 40 years. He did cut a promo on a nurse yesterday so anyone that knows Ric knows that's a very good sign. On behalf of Ric THANK YOU for all the outpouring of prayers and well wishes (although the offers for a kidney seemed a little excessive :)
The man outlived both a plane crash and being struck by lightening ...he is a survivor. Beyond grateful for all the love and respect sent Ric's way.

A paparazzo for SplashNews.com caught up with Hulk Hogan at Newark’s Liberty Airport and asked him if he has any news on the condition of Ric Flair. “Ric’s doing better, man. He’s doing better today thank God,” Hogan said, who was accompanied by Jimmy Hart. When he was asked if he plans to go to Atlanta to see him in person, Hogan replied, “You know I am, we talked about that a couple of hours ago on the phone.” Hogan was in White Plains, NY at the Westchester County Center where he was meeting fans Saturday afternoon.

Jim Cornette made a surprise return Thursday night during Global Force Wrestling's live Destination X themed "Impact Wrestling" show, his second stint with the company. Cornette came out in the second segment of the show and immediately fired Bruce Prichard. Prichard had just moments earlier announced that El Patron was no longer the champion and was giving the title to Bobby Lashley. The former manager had other ideas though, and told everyone that he has been hired by GFW and instructed security to escort Prichard out. His first order of business was the announce a 20-man Gauntlet Battle Royal for next week’s broadcast with the winner being crowned the new GFW World Champion. Cornette originally started working for TNA back in 2006 as the company’s on-screen Management Director. His run ended in 2009 after several disagreements with TNA’s creative team, mainly Vince Russo. The two are mortal enemies and impossible to work with each other.

Jim Ross' show at the DC Improv in Washington D. C. last weekend had a packed house. The New York show on Friday night at the Gotham Comedy Club was also close to sold out.
