Extreme Rules Feedback:
I enjoyed Extreme Rules and felt that the main event was strong and provided a great close to the show whose overall feel was going to be strongly influenced by the performance level of the Fatal 5 Way. All five men worked diligently and without personal agendas or so it seemed and delivered in a manner that main eventers are supposed to deliver. Very proud of the men in this match.
@SamoaJoe getting his long awaited bout with Brock Lesnar is a stellar booking IMO and one that I endorsed at our RINGSIDE Show the night before WM31 in San Jose when Joe was my guest at our RINGSIDE Show. Some naysayers are already questioning this booking which is a head scratcher as some feel that Joe is being positioned for merely a one off against Lesnar which, if true, is not the end of the world by the way for anyone involved. I say that the Lesnar-Joe match will receive plenty of talk/hype over the next several weeks and that the two, physically demanding athletes will provide us a tremendous one on one main event in Dallas.
I am personally looking forward to this match as much as any match I can recall this year and will tell you that it is an announcer's dream to be privileged to call a bout like this.
Yep, I'm fishing here.
BTW...a verbal confrontation between @SamoaJoe and @HeymanHustle could be priceless.
If too much is put into who simply wins and who loses this match, then those that are looking at this dream match in this manner are really missing a viable point.
Loved the next gear performance of @FinnBalor when he got the proverbial, "hot Tag" as he maximized his minutes arguably better than anyone else in the main event. Proves that a talent can 'get over' without winning a match if all the pieces are in place and they were for Balor.
All the talents in this match had their time in the sun and it seemed that all of them found a level of success while doing so in the show closer from Baltimore.
I compared Alexa Bliss personality and 'feel' to that of the late, great Buddy Rogers who was a undersized blonde who had miles of charisma and who people put their eyes on the minute that the original 'Nature Boy' walked through the curtain. Alexa has that same "I can't take my eyes off of her" persona or so it seems. She and Bayley had a tough assignment with Kendo stick stipulation but they persevered.
Enjoyed Neville vs Aries a great deal as they told a compelling story while following the title changing steel cage match featuring the Hardy's vs Sheamus & Cesaro. Once fans better understand who these Cruiserweights are and can make an emotional investment into their TV personas, these talented athletes will begin to move up the ladder of perception, without question. It takes time and the more quality minutes these specific talents receive and take advantage of the better it will be for the 205 pound division. Neville and Aries are as talented as any wrestler in the @WWE IMO.
Loved the realistically utilized submission finish in this bout too. Thanks to @UFC, etc losing by submission has a totally different connotation than it had years ago when it was extremely rare to see any fan favorite lose by submission.
Nice way to get the tag titles on the villains, Cesaro and Sheamus, while still keeping the glow on the Hardy's whose decision to return to WWE has been proven to be a highly intelligent one for the talented, North Carolina brothers.
No issues with the vastly improved @MikeTheMiz and his wife Maryse ascent back to the IC Title level with a win over Dean Ambrose that had some interesting 'wrinkles' throughout all built around that a DQ counts the same as a pin or submission stipulation.
Once upon a time I had issues with prescription meds Ambien and Xanaz and I wonder if Ambien played any part of the recent Tiger Woods DUI arrest. It was reported back in Tiger's partying days that he was allegedly an "Ambien guy." If you are using this powerful sleep aid regularly, then you are treading on then ice. It's a temporary med for insomnia and not a full time prescription.

The feedback on the Okada vs Suzuki NJPW bout from last Friday night on @AXSTV has been terrific. @JoshLBarnett and I enjoy working together and AXSTV provides us the opportunity to do our work in a creative, sports oriented presentation. We both look forward to July 1-2 in Long Beach, California for the historic weekend broadcasts on the @MCuban network.
My autobiography, SLOBBERKNOCKER: My Life in Wrestling will be in stores in October and it can be preordered on www.amazon.com. Proud to say that Vince McMahon, Steve Austin, The Rock, Bob Stoops and Mark Cuban have all been kind enough to submit contributions to this labor of love.
Thanks for the visit and hit the updated, Q&A's here on the site before you leave.
