JR;s Blog: Trish Stratus Joins Ross Report, Lesnar/Heyman Star on RAW, Women Close SD LIVE, RINGSIDE in San Antonio..Get TKTS while they last

Good day everyone and thanks for paying us a visit. Check out @trishstratuscom on this week;s Ross Report podcast that is free to download at www.podcastone.com, iTunes and here on the homepage of our site. Trish Stratus has a lot to say on her visit to our show. Enjoy...

Tickets for our next RINGSIDE with Jim Ross Show in San Antonio during Royal Rumble weekend are still available but the VIP's are beginning to get scare. The VIP tickets to any RINGSIDE show incudes a personal meet and greet, photo op, personalized signing of your swag, and early entry into the venue to insure that you get the best seats in the house. Tickets for the Sunday afternoon January 29 show are available at www.rivercitycomedyclub.com. VIP's get there at noon and the doors open at 2 pm for all general admission ticket holders.

On Friday night January 27, I will make a special and rare appearance at River City Wrestling's big event in Kirby, Texas and you can get more info on that eagerly anticipated show at www.rivercitywrestling.net.

Getting some interesting 'nibbles' about me doing more work at UK based, wrestling events. Lots of folks looking to stick there toes in the rasslin waters these days or so it seems.

The highlight of RAW this week for me was the first segment of the three hour show highlighted by the impact made by Brock Lesnar which was facilitated by @HeymanHustle setting the table with his spot on oratory. The show closing six man tag had it's moments as well but it seem to take an extended length of time to transact their business before going off the air. Not having any commentary affected my viewing experience in the last 2-3 minutes on the air.

I'd be surprised if Lesnar vs Goldberg at Wrestlemania isn't for a major title to add to the personal issue of their rivalry. Lesnar is still the most fascinating talent on the WWE roster and with Heyman added into the mix it make Brock even more valuable.

Enjoy WWE laying the foundation for a personal issue on top of the title picture between Charlotte and Bayley. Their matches should be good. The Facebook angle with Nia Jax and Sasha Banks was creative. (We're on Facebook at JimRossBBQ)

Neville is the MVP so far of the Cruiserweight Division and has big star potential written all over him in his new villain persona of which I totally enjoy.

The on going build of Braun Strowman is beginning to get in tricky territory as he huge athlete is beginning to interact with top talents who have to continue to help build this potentially, sizable asset for WWE.

SD Live saw the return of Mickie James in the main event segment of the show getting involved with Becky Lunch and aligning herself with Alexa Bliss. Good to see an in great, game shape, looking good Mickie back on WWE TV. Plus, the women closed another show.

Enjoying the ongoing storyline between Orton and the Wyatt clan which will likely lead to a RKO vs Bray Wrestlemania bout which will be good. I also think that there is more traction in Luke Harper than we are currently seeing.

It seems that Jerry Lawler's King's Court segment helped advance the renewed, antagonist persona of Dolph Ziggler. Good to hear that King has been added to the broadcast team of Michael Cole and Corey Graves for the Royal Rumble Match in San Antonio at the Alamo Dome which is only a couple of blocks away from our venue, the Improv at River Center.

Dolph Ziggler is a better villain than he is a fan favorite IMO.

Just an observation but when we as fans think we are seeing the same match, the same move set/sequence over and over again, it is a responsibly and function of the individual talents and their producers to add a few, 'wrinkles' to their game that will enhance their established move set. Talents that have their 'act' committed to memory and are resistant to change are likely to fail over time in their efforts to get to the Promised Land of main event bouts and paydays.

Next week on the Ross Report Podcast I will be joined by WWE HOFer Mick Foley and we have a packed conversation covering a ton of topics from the man who just lost 100 pounds thanks in part to DDP Yoga.

Easy online shopping await you for JR's delicious condiments at www.wweshop.com and in the UK, Ireland and Europe at www.americansoda.co.uk.

Have a great day!

Boomer Sooner!
