NEWS
ProWrestlingSheet.com is reporting that WWE has offered Mickie James a new deal to join the main roster. James made her WWE in-ring return at "NXT Takeover: Toronto" last month and wrestled Asuka, her first time in a WWE ring since her departure in 2008. The 37-year-old has not formally accepted the deal yet but SmackDown would certainly benefit from having such a veteran join their roster as they seem to have a weaker roster than RAW. After departing WWE in 2008, Mickie James joined TNA and had a run on the independent circuit as well. She is married to former TNA champion Nick “Magnus” Aldis.

There were huge betting line movements when the smart money came in for "TLC". By the time the show started, A. J. Styles was a ridiculous 110-to-one favorite.

As seen at WWE's "TLC" pay-per-view, WWE World Champion A. J. Styles suffered a wardrobe malfunction that left some of his backside exposed. Styles posted to Instagram "As you can see by the seam, you all were in no danger of seeing my butthole." He also noted that the problem has been fixed. He also responded to a fan on Twitter and said it wasn’t a malfunction as his “gear and butt cheek” were cut up on a steel chair. To see a picture of his torn gear on Instagram, click here. He is not wearing the gear in the picture.

A. J. Styles suffered what was described as a minor right ankle injury in the main event of WWE's "TLC" pay-per-view on Sunday night. Styles was pulled from the card at Monday’s WWE live event in Tyler, TX and did not appear. PWInsider reports that Styles was pulled as a precautionary measure after he hurt his ankle at "TLC". The main event of the Tyler show saw Dean Ambrose face Dolph Ziggler and WWE Intercontinental Champion The Miz in a Triple Threat. Styles is currently scheduled to defend against James Ellsworth on tonight’s SmackDown from Houston, TX.

As noted, James Ellsworth will face WWE World Champion A. J. Styles with the title on the line during this week’s SmackDown. Ellsworth tweeted the following on AJ’s status after reports of a possible injury came out on Monday: "I Hope" @AJStylesOrg isn't too banged up from #TLC because if he is I'll be your newwww #WWE World Champion this Tuesday night on #SDLive.

PWInsider.com is reporting that Ric Flair has signed a new deal with WWE and will be appearing regularly on "WWE Monday Night RAW". Flair appeared on RAW earlier this week to congratulate Sasha Banks after she defeated his daughter Charlotte to win the WWE RAW Women’s title for the third time. Prior to Monday’s appearance, Flair last showed up at the end of May after he was dumped by Charlotte on RAW following a segment where she blamed him for not being there during her childhood. The Nature Boy has been popping up on WWE television regularly since 2013.

Ric Flair appeared this weekend in Orlando, FL at the Orange County Convention Center for the "Spooky Empire Rock N Roll, Horror, Halloween and Tattoo Convention".

On Friday, Steve Keirn was honored by a group of his contemporaries for his long career in pro wrestling. Among those honoring him were Brian Blair, Buddy Colt, Ron Bass, Ronnie Garvin, Lanny Poffo, The Cuban Assassin, Rusty Brooks, and Fred Ottman. WFLA in Tampa, FL has a story about this which you can read by clicking here.

Matt Sydal, formerly known as Evan Bourne in WWE, is expected to be released from prison in Japan today. He was incarcerated in late September when customs officers in Japan found liquid cannabis in his possession. He is the brother of Mike Sydal.

Steve Johnson and Greg Oliver of SLAM! Wrestling wrote a story entitled "Who we picked for the Pro Wrestling Hall of Fame Class of 2017". Among their picks were Dick Raines in the Pioneer Division, Baby Doll in the Ladies Division, Ivan Kalmikoff & Nikita Kalmikoff, Jimmy Valiant & Johnny Valiant, Red Bastien & Billy Red Lyons, and Larry Hennig & Harley Race in the Tag Team Division, Dutch Savage, Sputnik Monroe, and Johnny Weaver from the Television Era, Mick Foley, Sting, and Barry Windham from the Modern Era, Skandar Akbar among the Colleagues, and Tatsumi Fujinami in the International Division.
