JR's Blog: Insane,Ticket Requests for ITV WOS Taping, Lesnar vs Lashley?, Stacey "The Cat" Carter on Ross Report Podcast, AJ-HBK Could Happen, Let's Go Nashville & Toronto!!

Here's to hoping that everyone is enjoying their weekend where ever you may be. Big, NFL Sunday for our household as our @Steelers take on Tom Brady and the Pats and with Big Ben out it will be a challenge for the Pittsburgh team. My Oklahoma Sooners won an insanely high scoring Big 12 Conference game Saturday in Lubbock, Texas where both team's defense appeared to be on strike. But a win is a win and anyone who complains too much about their team's winning a game needs to "Lighten Up Francis."

Getting really good feedback on the current Ross Report Podcast on www.podcastone.com, iTunes, and here on the homepage of our site. JJ Dillon who is in multiple halls of fame is our guest and he's a gold mine of knowledge in a wacky business that is often times over thought by the decision makers and many talents.

This Tuesday night a new Ross Report will drop at 9 PM ET/6 PM PT with Stacey Carter who talks her run in WWE during the Attitude Era, her pro wresting career from a unique perspective of being some one who indirectly found her way into the biz while married to my long time broadcast partner Jerry Lawler and what she's dong now including her tireless efforts in animal rescue. Good show and lots of run with an interesting slant on The Cat's story.

Time is drawing near to head to Manchester, England for the much anticipated TV taping of ITV's World of Sport, two hour special that we all hope will morph into a weekly broadcast of WOS on the powerful, ITV network. Some of the U.K.'s brightest and most talented wrestling stars will be a part of this broadcast that I am extremely excited with which to be involved.

Over 80,000 ticket requests were made by wrestling fans in the U.K. for the taping of the two hour broadcast that will air on ITV later this year.

I had a fascinating one hour conversation Saturday with Bill Goldberg and we talked about his return to the ring, competing with Brock Lesnar, why Bill is in the ring again and what he expects of himself in this long awaited rematch from over 12 years ago and what he expects to be the outcome. This conversation will be turned into a featured article for www.foxsports.com coming up in a few days.

Congrats to Bobby Lashley on another impressive win Friday night in Memphis on Spike TV's broadcast of Bellator MMA. I see potential, big money in a Lashley vs Lesnar bout some day in a WWE ring. It's organic, logical and easy to promote and the training vignettes would be stellar. Lashley's tenure in TNA, along with his peers there, has to be in some jeopardy based on all the legal issues that are billowing out of the Nashville company that appears to be on the verge of bankruptcy or so we are told.

Is there any reason that WWE should not place the Charlotte vs Sasha HIAC, Women's Title match on last at the event in Boston? I can't find any issues with that concept as it would be a good, additional 'hook' to the show that has a chance to land a significant amount of viewers on the WWE Network.

Nonetheless, having three HIAC bouts on one card is a daunting task to make them all have exclusive features and their own personality inside a three hour, broadcast window.

My only promotional suggestion would be to promote this match's placement in advance and tap into the curiosity factor of the WWE fan base and especially fans of women's wrestling.

For fans who are planning on attending Wrestlemania in Orlando this coming April, tickets for our two, RINGSIDE shows there are on sale at www.ticketfly.com. There apparently had been some issues with the site recently that have been corrected and tickets for our two shows, both matinees on April 1 and April 2, have both VIP Tickets and $25 General Admission tickets available as well.

Speaking of RINGSIDE with Jim Ross Shows, we are excited to be heading to Nashville for the first time for our show on Wednesday night November 9 at Zanies and tickets start at $25 at www.zanies.nashville.com. I will be attending the Nashville Predator game the night before our show and I'm excited about watching some NHL Hockey in Music City.

Business has picked up in Toronto where we will host the RINGSIDE with Jim Ross Show on Survivor Series Sunday November 20 at 2:30 at The Second City which is only a short walk to the ACC where Survivor Series has sold out the venue. Tickets for our Toronto show are at Ticketmaster.ca and www.livenation.com. I plan on arriving in Toronto early Saturday morning on Nov 19 and hope to check out NXT that night.

The odds of Shawn Michaels wrestling at the Royal Rumble vs AJ Styles is a definite long shot as HBK has stressed to me on multiple occasions including the Ross Report podcast that he's done with in ring activities in the wrestling biz. However, Shawn is a 'company man' and if WWE really needed a main event that could move a large amount of tickets in San Antonio at the Alamo Dome, I think that HBK would consider the company's request.

Without question, a Michaels vs Styles match in San Antonio at the Royal Rumble would be coveted by all involved if it were to occur. I'd realistically put the odds of this main event happening at less than 50-50 but I'd love to be wrong on this one.

The Q&A's here are updated.

Enjoy your day and please subscribe for FREE to the Ross Report Podcast on iTunes and never miss a show while having every episode automatically downloaded into the device of your choice every Tuesday night.
