NEWS
Former WWE Diva's Champion Mickie James is returning to WWE, or actually NXT, and will be facing NXT Women's Champion Asuka for the title at "NXT Takeover: Toronto" in November. The match was set up during last week’s NXT tapings and WWE even spoiled her return on an Instagram post. James was last seen on WWE television in 2010 after she was unhappy on how the direction of the women’s division was moving forward. She had no contact with WWE until November 2013 when she served as a guest trainer at the WWE Performance Center for a week. After leaving WWE, James joined TNA and was part of the Knockouts division until the end of 2013. She returned to the company in 2015 but her return only lasted a few months. She was written off television after James Storm “pushed” her onto a train track as part of a storyline in June but came back to life a month later for her final match. She is a former 5 time WWE Women’s Champion and a former 1 time WWE Diva's Champion. She also won the TNA Knockouts Title 3 times.

It had been exactly 4,600 days, or 12 years, 7 months, and 3 days, since Goldberg last appeared inside a WWE ring. That day was "WrestleMania XX" inside Madison Square Garden in New York City where Goldberg stood face to face with Brock Lesnar for their not-so-epic match with Steve Austin as the guest referee. Last night, the former World Heavyweight champion returned to WWE on RAW and in a business where the motto is “never say never,” the man who pretty much for the past decade blasted WWE for all the things they have done, responded to Paul Heyman’s comments about a match against Brock Lesnar, kicking off his road to the "Survivor Series". The planned match between the two is being held now to coincide with the release of WWE 2K17. Brock Lesnar is the cover Superstar while Goldberg was the pre-order downloadable character offer. While Goldberg’s deal with the game was done solely through 2K, WWE had to okay the idea and just like what happened with Sting and The Ultimate Warrior, Goldberg found himself going from inside a video game to the reality of appearing in front of thousands of fans live on RAW. The belief is that Goldberg has signed for this program only, one more match, and nothing else. That could obviously change with the "Royal Rumble" and "WrestleMania" getting closer. Goldberg has recently been expressing his desire to step back inside the ring so his son can see him wrestle live for the first time. Goldberg has multiple appearances planned for RAW leading up to "Survivor Series".

There were expectations for RAW to do its best rating since football season started with a full week of promotion for Bill Goldberg. Goldberg brought his family in and did a lot of media Monday morning. The NFL Monday Night Football game was the New York Jets vs. Arizona Cardinals, with neither team having winning records, although the Jets are still the New York market. Canadian ratings are not expected to be good given the Toronto Blue Jays are in the American League Divisional Playoffs against the Cleveland Indians and the Blue Jays draw incredible ratings throughout Canada.

With Goldberg returning to WWE last night and Brock Lesnar to appear next week, things will get more heated when the two are scheduled to appear together for the first time since 2004 on the November 14th episode of "WWE Monday Night RAW". This will be the go-home RAW prior to "Survivor Series" and with the two rumored to be headlining the pay-per-view, you can expect some fireworks. Both Lesnar and Goldberg will be showing up on all the RAW shows leading up to the pay-per-view on alternate episodes although none of them are set to make the trip for the RAW in Scotland on November 7th.

In a turn of events, Bret “Hit Man” Hart apologized to Michael Hayes and Seth Rollins in a post on Facebook for the things he had been saying about them lately. Last week Hart said that Hayes and The Freebirds have no place in the WWE Hall of Fame because they never did anything for the wrestling business. He also referred to the group as “pill heads” who were always drunk. Hayes replied to Bret, calling him out for being bitter and for “crapping on others.” “I’d like to take this opportunity to formally apologize to Michael Hayes. A while back I made comments about The Freebirds not being as worthy of being in the WWE Hall of Fame as others. It was unfair for me to dismiss their contributions to the industry,” Bret wrote. Bret added that Hayes and the rest of The Freebirds always treated him with respect and he’s sorry that he disrespected any of them with his comments. Rollins has been a target of Hart ever since he broke John Cena’s nose. Things got worse when he wrestled Sting and performed the power bomb to the turnbuckle that pretty much ended Sting's wrestling career. Hart’s harsh criticism of Rollins continued when he performed the same move on Finn Balor, this time on the security wall, which tore his shoulder. Hart ripped on Rollins, calling him an unsafe wrestler who has no regard for other people’s safety. “Furthermore I apologize to both Triple H and Seth Rollins for any hurtful comments I made on my podcast. The reality of all this is the reason I quit doing podcasts in general, because they’re for the most part an outlet for negativity, and have left me with a reputation as being angry and bitter,” Bret wrote. Bret said that he’s not bitter and he only spoke openly and candidly but it’s no excuse for minimizing other wrestlers or their contributions.

Mick Foley tweeted to Paige about her suspension: “Thinking of you @RealPaigeWWE and a song I've loved since I was 7 - 'Tomorrow's Gonna Be a Brighter Day'".

WWE is returning to the Alamodome in San Antonio for the 2017 Royal Rumble. The plan right now is to sell out the massive arena, but in doing so they feel they need a big draw to help them reach that feat, thus the WWE are now trying heavily to bring back Shawn Michaels out of retirement for one more match. The planned opponent for Shawn if he were to lace the boots up would be against A. J. Styles.

There will be a roast of Booker T on November 10th at the Houston Improv. Among those roasting him will be Stevie Ray, Sharmell, Bruce Prichard, The Dudleys, and MVP.

Kevin Kross announced that he has signed a deal to join Lucha Underground. He has been the Future Stars of Wrestling Heavyweight Champion for over a year and has been undefeated for the 2 years he has been competing in FSW.
