JR's Blog: Goldberg vs Lesnar, Paige, TNA Turmoil, JR on FS1 w/ Jay & Dan
Posted: Oct 14th 2016 By: Jim Ross
Greetings from Los Angeles and the @AXSTV studios where Josh Barnett & I will voiceover three more NJPW shows today which will complete a seven show production session. Remember that our wrestling show airs on Friday nights at 9/8 CT on AXSTV.
Meeting in LA today to address one of the biggest, broadcast projects I've worked on in years. Stay tuned.
Concerned about WWE's Paige coming on the heels of her second wellness policy violation. It's never too late more often than not to make better decisions and changes in one's life. I'm pulling for the talented young woman to be happy and healthy and wish her the best on her upcoming neck surgery.
When we first reported that Goldberg was returning to WWE to face Brock Lesnar at the November 20 Survivor Series, many doubted the 'rumor' that will likely be confirmed this Monday night on RAW. I like the 'attraction' aspect of this booking and fully expect it to be a one off and like,y won't cline the show .
Cynics hanging their hats on the last match the two wrestled are reaching, IMO, as the lay of the land is much different this time around I expect a straight forward, physical match with Lesnar winning in what I expect to be the last pro wrestling match that the Oklahoma native and former WCW phenom likely will ever have.
Rumors of tension between TNA's Dixie Carter and Billy Corgan is outwardly uncomfortable for many TNA wrestlers or so some have told me. One has to assume that major changes with this troubled brand are imminent.
Enjoyed being a guest on the Rich Eisen Show Wednesday. Cool show...good crew.
Taped a hit on FS1's Jay and Dan Show Wednesday night that will air soon. Had a blast with the two, talented Canadians. Beth know their 80's wrestling
When in Toronto for our RINGSIDE Show Survivor Series Sunday November 20 at 2:30 pm I'd love to catch the NXT event on Saturday night featuring Samoa Joe vs Shinsuke Nakamura, two of my favorite, in ring performers. BTW, both could headline a Wrestlemania someday including birth being excellent, potential Lesnar opponents.
Join me in Nashville at Zanies Wednesday night November 9 , 1 show only. Tickets at zanies.nashville.com starting at $25.
Just a thought but if most talents slowed down a half a step and sold more in the process, fewer in ring injuries would likely be the case.
Best wishes for a speedy recovery to Mike Elgin who suffered a broken eye orbital bone recently. Big Mike will be a Ross Report guest soon.
Thanks to Jason Powell of Pro Wrestling Dot Net for being such a stellar, Ross Report podcast guest this week. Hope you will download the show.
Be well everyone..
BOOMER SOONER!
