JR's Blog: JR's Blog, Big Weekend in Baltimore, Best Promo of the Week, "Delete," @AdamColePro Rocks Ross Report, Stop Kicking Out of Finishers

Excited to be in Baltimore Friday and Saturday for two fun days starting off with RINGSIDE with Jim Ross Friday night at 8 at Jimmy's Famous Seafood with long time friend Jim Cornette. One show only and tickets are still available in a limited quantity at www.missiontix.com and will be available at the door. On Saturday we move to Joppa, Maryland to participate in MCW Wrestling's Legends Reunion featuring a boat load of WWE Hall of Farmers in a super sized meet/greet/photo op affair from 10 am-4 pm. We hope to see you there!

Remember, we announced earlier this week that we will bring RINGSIDE with JIm Ross to Toronto Survivor Series weekend at The Second City on Sunday November 20, which is Survivor Series Sunday at 2:30 with one show only. Tickets for this eagerly anticipated show go on sale THIS WEDNESDAY at 10 am at Ticketmaster.ca and www.livenation.com. The show will end by 4 pm and the Second City venue is a 10 minute or so walk to the Air Canada Center where Survivor Series will be held. Get your tickets early and join me in TO for a fun weekend!

Saw where WWE is allegedly hoping that Matt Hardy returns to WWE when his TNA contract ends. Don't know the validity of this latest, rasslin rumor but to be able to get BOTH Hardy's back in WWE would likely make many Hardy fans happy.

Matt has developed the freshest, most unique pro wrestling TV persona in the biz which is a tribute to a talent with an established persona recreating himself with a new persona. If more talents would think outside the box like this, more talents would have less to complain about regarding their elusive "push."

Matt Hardy will be joining me on the Ross Report Podcast in November so stay tuned for that show.

Is Joey Styles going to become the voice of "Indy Wrestling?" If so, he'll likely crush it. The genre seems past due and ready for new voices to be heard.

AXSTV is going to continue to do another season of NJPW broadcasts in 2017 which is good news for yours truly as I've enjoyed working with AXSTV along side Josh Barnett on the Friday night broadcasts. I wish we could do more with NJPW including heading to Japan to broadcast some live events. Perhaps that will happen in the future but it's far from a done deal at this point in time.

Ever wonder why many wrestlers continue to use some of the same move sets match after match with little or no variation? Me, too. Taking more high risk, major bumps is now commonplace and are certainly not fresh plus on most of the big moves that are utilized, no one rarely wins with one of these moves and even less talents actually sell what is being one to them for longer than a few seconds.

How is this logical or a positive asset to any match?

Nope.

Excited to be talking to Dutch Mantell in a few weeks for an upcoming Ross Report Podcast. Smart guy with lots of booking savvy.

Loved @AdamColePro personal, Mt Rushmore of pro wrestling and his thoughts on @CMPunk in @UFC among a litany of topics that we covered on this weeks Ross Report podcast that you can hear for free on the homepage of this site, at www.podcastone.com and @iTunes.

Our film project that we've been working on has a major meeting regarding it's future this Friday in LA that I hope goes well. The proposed project is about one of the all time great, true underdog stories of any generation with a 5'2' female as the focus of the proposed film that has a pro wrestling back story.

Do some in pro wrestling actually believe that kicking out of an opponent's finishing move helps the match and/or makes the person kicking out be perceived as stronger?

Really?

The Q&A's here on the site are updated.

Curious to see how well WWE's Cruiserweights develop on Monday Night RAW. It would be a sin if these athletes don't take advantage of their opportunity and they must realize that their success isn't singularly tied to how many high spots that they can shoehorn into their matches. The Cruiserweights longevity is directly tied to how well they connect to the fan base including how good their verbal skills are perceived. This division has amazing potential.

One thing is for sure, in today's grappling world, if one doesn't talk somewhat regularly and efficiently, the chances of 'getting over' are severely affected as in they likely won't 'get over.'

My top four rankings of D1 college football teams for USA Today Sports that appears in the paper every Wednesday are: 1. Alabama 2. Ohio State 3. Louisville 4. Houston.

Chael Sonnen hooking up with Bellator is a great 'get' for the Viacom owned company that airs on Spike TV. Chael can still fight well enough to give fans their money's worth against some of the genre's most established stars such as Tito Ortiz, Fedor, Rampage Jackson, etc which seems to work well for Spike. These 'attraction fights' will produce a TV rating and needed awareness for the brand.

Chael's promos on the last Bellator broadcast were arguably the best combat sports/pro wrestling like sound bytes of the week on any show...by far.

The Refuse to Lose PPV produced by What Culture Pro Wrestling on Thursday night October 6 will air on PPV on the @FITETV App. This show emanates from Newcastle, England and I am jacked to be partnering with Jim Cornette for this broadcast that will be LIVE!

Enjoy your day and thanks for stopping by. I hope that you will check out our many blogs that we have posted here over the past few days.
