JR's Blog: Terri Runnels on new,The Ross Report..@LethalJay, @KIngRicochet, WWE Draft, CTE Lawsuit, New, WWE GM's

Greetings one and all and thanks for stopping by our site. We've posted several blogs here over the past several days and invite you to check them out while you are here. A new, The Ross Report podcast drops at 9 PM ET tonight on www.podcastone.com and iTunes with first time guest @TheTerriRunnels. It's a good show loaded with info and stories of WCW and the WWE Attitude Era and so much more.

The WWE Draft is tonight and I will be paying close attention to it without fail. Watch for some tweets on tis matter from yours truly @JRsBBQ.

No matter who is drafted where there will be endless second guessing on how it was "booked' and what it means to the long term future of WWE. I feel that it WWE pulls this matter off in a successful manner that this could potentially be one of the biggest developments in the company's history.

I originally preferred that WWE have only one 'World Champion' but that seems unfeasible if they want both brands to be able to stand on their own merits. I do think tht this brand extension/separation wil provide many talents with new minutes of TV time that they can maximize and hopefully use to 'get over' and lead the company into the future while finding themselves in prime positions for some time to come.

Often reminded of when I got drafted to Smackdown from RAW in 2008 after being told that it would not happen but as the King always says "One can't grieve forever." I did not react well to the surprise nor did I want to leave RAW and The King but life goes on. That decison was a complete surprise when I did not think that it needed to be.

BTW, change for change sake rarely is the right decision in any area of life.

II don't enjoy getting called out on my own website regarding the Q&A's that are submitted to us. Got one up now regarding the drug testing of Brock Lesnar. Some people want to take things out of context to seemingly stir the pot of controversy. Lesnar was drug tested by USADA many times during his UFC 200 training and he failed one of approximately 7-8 tests we are told. If the B sample comes back positive then it was a valid claim but it may not come back positive. Time will tell. But I did call out some who inferred that Lesnar was being given preferential treatment as it relates to drug testing and I knew that not to be true whatsoever. That's what I took issue with on The Ross Report.

Got to love the all knowing, Keyboard Warriors that we encounter along the way. We live in an age of defiance and frequent disrespect in our society and I wonder if the same Keyboard Warriors would be so brazen if they were looking at their accused face to face. Likely not.

Heading to Cancun this week to broadcast with Al Bernstein Cancun Boxing for the CBS Sports Network,. Check out our show this Saturday night on @CBSSportsNet by checking your local listings.

Happy to se Mick Foley and Daniel Bryan getting back on weekly, WWE TV in their new roles of GM's of RAW and Smackdown respectively. Two, good men who should make any show that they are on better. I like this booking by WWE. It creates two new roles for two established and talented personalities.

Monday night I interviewed both Jay Lethal and Trevor Mann aka Ricochet/KIngPuma for August, The Ross Report podcasts and both conversations were big league thanks to the two, excellent talents.

Excellent, New Japan Pro Wrestling TV show this Friday night on AXSTV. Catch it if you can. I'm really impressed with Shibata and if you watch this show you will see why.

The latest CTE law suit against WWE is seemingly another attempt to leverage yet another payday from the only wrestling company with deep enough pockets to be able to provide the funds that are being sought. I don't know all the details but I'm highly skeptical of the motives of this legal action from the same attorney who seemingly is making it his life's work to walk away with WWE money. I'd guess that no one sees a dime in this attempt to create a payday by any means possible.

Have a great day and do something nice for someone who's not expecting it.
