JR's Blog: James Storm on Ross Report Podcast, Patterson's Book, Sunny's Film, @HOBDallas, Houston Wrestling Library, ROH PPV, Ingles Markets

Posted: Feb 4th 2016 By: Jim Ross

Greetings from sunny and crisp Oklahoma! Busy week in play here with a couple of major announcements preparing to be announced in the next two or three weeks or as soon as the lawyers do their thing with new partnerships. The Ross Report podcast with James Storm is tracking extremely well at podcastone.com, iTunes and here on the homepage of our site. This is a fun show that I hope you will listen to for FREE and our thanks to all that have subscribed for FREE to The Ross Report on iTunes.

Excited to see that Pat Patterson's autobiography, 'Accepted: How the First Gay Superstar Changed WWE' will be released in August and it can be pre-ordered now at Amazon.com that you can access through our site at podcastone.com. Pat has an amazing life story that I'm sure will equate to a fascinating read. The Montreal native is widely regarded as one of the best in ring talents of any era and is the man who created the Royal Rumble. It's hard to rank any tag team ahead of Pat Patterson and Ray Stevens in my book.

Great chat with my friend Jeremy Borash today as he's attempting to 'cook up' some projects for the two of us to collaborate on in the future.

Not sure why it's a headline on some IWC sites that I'm not planning to attend Wrestlemania Texas...at this time. Is that news? I don't think so. I'm not boycotting the event and will definitely watch it at some place in Dallas but my plate is somewhat full Wrestlemania weekend with our shows at the Dallas House of Blues.

Happy birthday to Dory Funk, Jr who is 75 years young today. The former NWA World's Heavyweight Champion is one of the all time greats of the mat game and still wrestles occasionally. I was the referee for a NWA Title match between Junior and Harley Race in the mid 70's in Tulsa and they wrestled to a one hour draw and I never heard them once say a word to each other during the bout.

Video Video has announced that Tammy Stych's adult film is available at their website plus Tammy has an autobiography coming out in the next few days. I will have Tammy on our Podcast in the coming weeks.

We are working on a potential business arrangement with Bruce Tharpe to work with him on the Paul Boesch Houston Wrestling Library in hopes of improving distribution while promoting it globally. As long time fans know this library is loaded with amazing content that spanned over three decades.

Anyone who thinks that talents like AJ Styles are too small to draw big money are fooling themselves and are truly living in the enhanced 80's. Or, they've never had their ass whipped by a smaller guy especially amateur wrestlers who are under 200 pounds. Stars are not judged by pounds and inches but by talent, charisma and athleticism.

Shinsuke Nakamura is reportedly undergoing extensive medical tests in Pittsburgh this week under the guidance of Dr Joseph Maroon.

ROH looks to be planning an outstanding wrestling card on PPV Friday February 26 from Las Vegas. I would love to see that one live. Fite TV aka Flipps App will carry the PPV on your smart TV if you have have WiFi.

Tickets for my three shows in Dallas at the House of Blues are still available but are beginning to get scarce. www.ticketmaster.com has tickets for all three shows, Saturday April 2 at 4 and 11 pm just before and just after the WWE HOF Ceremony and after Monday Night RAW on April 4 at approximately 11 pm CT. The @HOBDallas is a mere 8 minute walk to the American Airlines Center where the HOF and RAW will emanate.

We are on Facebook at JimRossBBQ. Find and like us...thanks.

Remember that we have JR's products in all the outstanding, Ingles Markets throughout the southeast USA. @InglesAdvantage has great prices now on all things JR.

With three fan favorites in the main event of Fast Lane it's obvious that at least one of them will be booed. Might be a long night in the uniquely booked match involving Reigns, Lesnar and Ambrose. Feels like it will be a challenging night for Mr Reigns. It's baffling that Roman isn't cast as a villain but you already knew that, right?

Q&A's here are updated.

Thanks for supporting us in all the things that we do!

Boomer Sooner!
