Jim Ross was picked to provide the commentary for the WWE 2K16 2K Showcase mode focused on Stone Cold Steve Austin. ?We?re so excited to have Jim Ross ?Good Ol? JR back on commentary for #?WWE2K16?s 2K Showcase mode focused on the career of Stone Cold Steve Austin,? said the short statement from 2K. The announcement was made today by 2K Sports on the WWE 2K Facebook page. It?s unclear if it was either 2K, WWE, or Steve Austin himself who made the request to get Jim Ross onboard for the game but it would not be surprising if it was Austin who pushed for it since the two are big friends

WWE Games confirmed on Twitter that Jim Ross will be back on commentary for the Showcase Mode in WWE 2K16, specifically focusing on Austin?s career.

Sean Waltman was a recent guest on Steve Austin's podcast and admitted that the rumors about him shooting up drugs before a match with A. J. Styles are true, and that he recently apologized to AJ. Waltman says that ?meth feels incredible? and ?it seemed manageable at first.? He also admitted that he?s suffered a series of relapses in recent years but is currently clean and sober. Michelle Runnels, the wife of Dusty Rhodes, attended "Summerslam" this past weekend.

NXT General Manager William Regal announced the "Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic" tournament last weekend during the "NXT Takeover: Brooklyn" show. The "Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic" will feature the best of NXT?s past, present and future, with the finals taking place at the next "NXT Takeover", live on WWE Network on Wednesday, October 7th. Dusty was an integral part of NXT and helped mentor several NXT Superstars and Divas up until his untimely death this past June.

While this is not official, there are those in WWE who believe Kana has signed largely because it makes no sense to have pushed her, plus they are looking for some good working women to fill the void by the call-ups of Charlotte, Sasha Banks, and Becky Lynch, to continue the NXT women's momentum. If you didn't see Sunday night's special, she was shown in the crowd with Ric Flair and Sgt. Slaughter. There is a report from Enuhito in Japan that she has already signed.

Stars who attended the invitation-only funeral for Roddy Piper at The Comedy Store in Hollywood, CA on August 17th included Austin Aries, Dallas Page, Chavo Guerrero Sr., Chavo Guerrero Jr., Mando Guerrero, Lisa Marie Varon, Gene LeBell, Rock Riddle, Bas Rutten, Josh Barnett, Dave Marquez, Will Sasso, John Morrison and Rick Bassman, who helped arrange the service.

Tuesday night's episode of "Real Sports", they acknowledged Roddy Piper's death and showed a clip of the 2003 interview where he talked about drugs in wrestling and how he wouldn't make it to 65 years old.

From a press release about the Jake Roberts documentary, it reads "Slamdance joins forces with the filmmakers behind 'The Resurrection of Jake The Snake' for a multi-city theatrical release of the 2015 Slamdance Film festival favorite documentary beginning in Portland, Oregon on September 2, 2015. The Portland Film Festival will host the film?s release with a special event screening and a Q&A session moderated by UFC superstar Chael Sonnen with Jake ?The Snake? Roberts, Diamond Dallas Page and director Steve Yu. The event format is a key element of the film?s continuing theatrical release with personal appearances by Jake ?The Snake,? filmmakers and special guests.

Len Rossi, a big Memphis star in the 60s and 70s, who has had a Health Food Store in Brentwood, TN for 42 years, is saying that his store, being close to the road, has been condemned as the city is looking at widening the road the store is on. Rossi doesn't own the building the store is in, so he won't be getting any money for it. It is believed to be the oldest still surviving retail business in the city.

Graham Matthews of BleacherReport.com wrote a story entitled "Ranking Best Intercontinental Championship Matches in WWE SummerSlam History" and coming in at #1 was Bret Hart vs. The British Bulldog (1992). Oklafan extends condolences to Striker on the passing of his cousin Bill.

Oklafan extends condolences to the family and friends of Duke Myers, who passed away August 22nd due to complications from pneumonia and a bladder infection. Myers was a big star in the southern region of the US in the 1970s, especially in the Tri-State Wrestling area and Tennessee, while tagging with Terry Garvin. He hit the top of his career in Canada, competing for Stu Hart in Stampede Wrestling, then returned to Tennessee and competed as The Colossus of Death while feuding with Jerry Lawler. Myers and Garvin held the TSW United States Tag Team Titles on 2 occasions. They defeated Tom Jones and Ken Mantell on August 28, 1972 for the titles, then lost them to Yasu Fuji & Choto Yokouchi in December of that year. They regained them from the Japanese team in February 1973, but only held them a few days before dropping them back to the same team later that month. Myers had 18 documented matches in Oklahoma. The earliest was November 14, 1970 in Oklahoma City were he teamed with Les Wolff against The Kentuckians and the last was October 2, 1972 when he and Terry Garvin lost to Grizzly Smith and Dennis Stamp by DQ.
