NEWS
Leroy McGuirk will be inducted into the NWA Hall of Fame at the NWA Texoma event in Sherman, TX on August 21st. NWA President Bruce Tharpe will be on hand and Leroy's daughter Mike McGuirk and grandson Max McGuirk will also both be attending the event.

The WWE event in Lawton on July 26th was the first time the WWE had ever promoted an event in that city.

The opening segment of "WWE Monday Night RAW" last night in Oklahoma City was supposed to be with The Authority addressing all the wrestlers on the ramp.

While Sting has been expected to appear and actually wrestle at next month?s WWE "SummerSlam" pay-per-view, word is that as of this afternoon he is not scheduled to make any kind of appearance that night. There was some speculation among WWE talents that Sting may team with Stephen Amell to face Stardust and possibly The Miz, with the idea that both Amell and Sting are ?vigilantes.?. There has also been talk that Sting would team with Roman Reigns to face The Wyatt Family but PWInsider says that is all speculation as WWE is not planning on using Sting at "SummerSlam" as of late this afternoon. Sting will be in New York City that weekend to make the SummerSlam Experience signing appearance but apparently WWE will not be using him at SummerSlam after all.

Courtesy of WrestlingDVDNetwork.com, here are more matches for WWE?s ?Sting: Into The Light? DVD and Blu-ray that comes out on October 13th.

-Sting vs. Ric Flair (NWA World Title Match; WCW Clash of the Champions; March 27th, 1988)
-Sting vs. The Great Muta (WCW/NJPW SuperShow; March 21st, 1991)
-Sting vs. Brian Pillman (King of Cable Tournament Match; WCW Saturday Night; November 7th, 1992)

The Hulk Hogan scandal has caused WWE Studios? to remove a Hogan scene from the "Celebrity Death Pool" movie that stars David Hasselhoff and Ken Jeong. PWInsider reports that a piece of Hogan material was also in the upcoming WWE/Scooby Doo animated movie. Hogan was set to appear in scenes alongside an animated Dusty Rhodes and those will obviously have to be edited now. Hopefully they can just replace Hogan and not have to nix the Dusty scene altogether. Regarding the Hogan scene in Celebrity Death Pool, apparently it was the opening sequence of the movie so it will definitely have to be re-done.

The big question now following Hulk Hogan?s dismissal from "Tough Enough" is who is going to replace him on the judging panel along with Daniel Bryan and Paige. The decision ultimately comes down to WWE Chairman and CEO Vince McMahon along with Kevin Dunn, the Executive Vice President of Television Production. USA Network will also certainly have a say in who will replace Hogan considering they are funding the bulk of the production. Two names who have already been rumored are Ric Flair and Bret Hart. The most recent unconfirmed rumor is that Hart has flown to meet McMahon to discuss the potential job. It would be ironic if Hart does get the job as WWE also turned over to Hart when Hogan left the company back in 1993.

Mick Foley?s son put his dad?s name forward too, saying that his dad cares about WWE more than anyone and wants to care about "Tough Enough". Foley said he will stop watching "Tough Enough" after the elimination of Patrick last week. ?I doubt @WWE will offer me #ToughEnough. But, if asked, I would insist that the trainers be more involved in decisions,? Mick Foley wrote.

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police are under media fire because of reports that they were using social media to track local activist groups? activities. It?s reported that one of the Twitter accounts they were following was that of WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley, but no explanation was given as to why.

Mick Foley is calling for next Monday to be "Damien Sandow Appreciation Day". He is asking fans to tweet about Sandow next Monday with the hashtag #SandowAppreciationDay. He also tweeted about an unpleasant radio appearance he had in Boston, MA this morning. Foley says he objected to being grilled about Hulk Hogan and WWE without getting in a mention for his upcoming comedy show in the area.

Jeff Jarrett?s 2015 TNA Hall of Fame induction ceremony will air on this week?s "Impact Wrestling".

Jeff Jarrett announced that the Global Force Wrestling TV show will be called "Amped".

Roddy Piper was on "The Rich Eisen Show" on DirecTV's Audience Network to plug his graphic novel and his "All Out of Bubble Gum" soda as well as discuss the Hulk Hogan stuff. A video of the appearance just went up on the show's YouTube channel. You can see the video by clicking here.

A new documentary movie on Jim Crockett Promotions will be debuting this weekend at the Mid-Atlantic Fan Fest. Lots of interviews with the likes of The Rock-N-Roll Express (Ricky Morton & Robert Gibson), Ole Anderson, Paul Jones, and narrated by Jim Ross.

Jim Ross underwent successful surgery last week. he posted on Twitter "My surgery was a prostrate TURP procedure. Google if you dare. I'm sore in areas a man doesn't want to be. Thanks 4 the well wishes."

Jim Ross tweeted the following praise for Cesaro after his non-title match against WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins on last night?s SmackDown. He posted "Throughly enjoyed @WWECesaro promo tonight. For anyone to think he doesn't have a real personality, they're not paying attention. He's $$$."

Ticket sales for Ring of Honor and the Jim Ross ?Ringside? shows in New York City during "SummerSlam" weekend slowed down when WWE announced the NXT ?Takeover: Brooklyn? event that will go head-to-head. JR confirmed this in his latest blog ?Our tickets for the Gramercy Theater RINGSIDE Show were selling wonderfully until WWE booked their NXT spectacular on the same night, Saturday August 22, in Brooklyn. It was a smart booking for WWE as the NXT show is very close to selling out and had only 1500 tickets left a few days ago. I?m hopeful that they do sell out and those that were on the fence or did not get a NXT ticket will consider coming to my show. About 40 VIP meet/greet/photo op tickets remain for NYC and general admission tickets are still available at only $25 at ticketmaster.com and the Gramercy Theatre box office. My pals from Busted Open Radio will MC this my only NYC date of the year. A lucky attendee oat our Gramercy Show will win two, free Summer Slam Tickets which will be the next day.?
