JR's Blog: HULK, Tough Enough Patrick Clark on Ross Report Podcast, @TheRock, RINGSIDE on sale Wed in Knoxville and Houston, WWE in Oklahoma

Posted: Jul 28th 2015 By: Jim Ross

What a week coming up! Will head to Charlotte for the NWA Legends Fan Fest and will do our RINGSIDE w/ Jim Ross Show there on Thursday night at the Hilton University Place at 9 pm right after the debut of the outstanding film, Mid Atlantic Memories of which I narrated. Check out www.nwalegends.com for all the info. Also, this week, Wednesday to be exact, tickets go on sale for RINGSIDE Shows in Knoxville, Thursday Sept 10, and Houston, Sunday September 20. Knoxville tickets for the International will be available online at www.ticketweb.com and are $20 for general admission and $50 for VIP. Show time is 8 pm the Thursday of the week of the Oklahoma vs Tennessee college football game. My show in Houston is a 10 minute walk from Warehouse Live to the Toyota Center where WWE will present Night of Champions. Our show starts at 4 pm and will end just before 6 so it's easy to make both events while parking in one spot and making it a double header. Houston tickets are available at www.ticketfly.com on Wednesday starting at only $20 general admission and $50 for VIP. With all VIP tickets one receives a meet/greet/photo op/sign your swag deal.

Hulk Hogan remains in the news and is likely to continue to do so until another celebrity story breaks. Hulk arguably would be helped if he laid low on Twitter for a few weeks. Hopefully Hulk has retained PR professionals, a sensitivity training expert and he decides to stop trying to rehabilitate his image on social media at least for the time being. I am a big believer in forgiveness and have no reason to believe that Hogan can't or won't be forgiven in time if he goes about it in a sincere, thought out manner. Even if some believe that Hulk did nothing wrong, his public image, of which he earns a living, has taking the big leg drop and it needs rehabilitated.

In my years of dealing with Hogan I never knew of him being a racist or having racist behavior. I can't read his mind or look into his soul but can only respond to what I've personally witnessed and that is I would never earmark him as being racist based on my interactions with him.

No matter how one comments on this hot button issue, many will disagree. That's fine as long as the dialog remains civil which is often times impossible to achieve on social media platforms such as Twitter.

OKC hosts RAW tonight on the night over the years that Ol JR usually had a long evening at the office but not tonight as I will be interviewing Patrick Clark about being shockingly eliminated off Tough Enough last week for the Ross Report that drops tomorrow night (Tuesday) at 9 pm ET on podcastone.com, iTunes and here on the homepage of our website. Should be some compelling stuff.

The revised drop date schedule of all our Ross Report podcasts through the first week of October is listed on the home page here on the site.

American Soda in the UK will be back in business with JR's products in mid August so be sure and stock up when they are ready for you. You can follow them on Twitter @americansoda.

BTW..plenty of tickets remain or OKC RAW and Tuesday night in Tulsa where Smackdown will originate from if you are in the area and want to attend.

Our RINGSIDE Show in Washington DC is well on its way of selling out so don't delay and get your tickets online at www.dcimprov.com. That show is Wednesday night August 19 at 8 pm and will be MC'ed by @chaddukes.

Tickets are available as well in NYC at ticketmaster.com for our Saturday night August 22 show at the Gramercy Theater where some lucky attendee will win a pair of Summer Slam tickets that is the next night in Brooklyn. My pals at Busted Open Radio will handle the MC chores in NYC.

Loved @ShoRayDonovan, @BallersHBO and @TrueDetective Sunday night as I watched each episode twice. Very proud of the production and performance of my friend @TheRock on Ballers. Ballers reminds me a bit of some of the wrestlers during the Monday Night Wars who were making silly money during that time and thought that it would never end and now are suffering the consequences. Hopefully, Ballers will be a wake up call to those athletes (NFL. NBA. etc) and entertainment performers who feel bullet proof and that the Golden Goose will live forever.

www.wweshop.com is loaded with JR's products and business has picked up largely because orders are often shipped the same da that they are received.

Check me out on Facebook at JimRossBBQ.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.
